Iron eating fungus? Aliens? Should I kill it with fire? Bleach maybe?
It's coming up from a mulch bed and going up on a old wrought iron three-legged plant stand. I poked at it with a stick and it's all slimy and it stuck to the stick like glue. It was not there yesterday but we had a over-night rain so I guess it grew during the day. Attached File |

I had the same crap growing in my garden. That was 2 months ago. I still can't get rid of the itch. Doc said it
should go away when I die. |

I'm going to leave it be and see what develops......But if it starts asking me to feed it all bets are off.
Oh shit! When food is in short supply, many of these single-celled organisms will congregate and start moving as a single body. Slime Mold |
