Failed To Load Title obligatory ACR bashing at the end too. |
I wonder if he burns money to prove that it's made of some sort of paper? What was he expecting?
I was about to complain about the waste of ammo when I saw he was using .22 Thunderbolt for the experiment.
Carry on. |
Fill it with ammo, when one box (or anything other than ammo) would suffice.
The ammo needs to get wet to prove a box doesn't work? There is so much trash on Youtube, it's painful to watch. |
Two for two is good! I would have expected failure in a day, let alone a year.
That guy must be an idiot and that video and his "test" suck.
1. Why weren't the seals inspected before the test? If the seal has a seam, it is guaranteed to leak. Why even wait a year, an hour would tell the tale. 2. Why use good ammo when all that was need was a brick and some paper? |
Uhhhh, kind of a lofty notion to expect it to be dry after a year at the bottom of a pond.
I used a .50cal can full of gravel as an anchor for my canoe. For the short periods of time it was submerged, no water got inside.
I have no skin is this game but can you not just tighten the dam barrel? I understand they shouldn't loosen up but we all know shit happens.
There was thread posted on here someone bought some property and it had an old fallout shelter on it.
Apparently over the years it flooded. New owners drained the water out and items stored in old GI ammo cans were still like new. |

Today some body found out the difference between waterproof and water resistant.
Cheap ammo cans don't get you soaking wet ammo, throwing your ammo can in a pond like a dumbass gets your ammo wet.
Lol is this guy retarded? all you would need to put in them is bricks to test his theroy, open them up at the end of the year and see if water got in, why use actual ammo?
I'm almost positive guys here have done this same test years ago. Sinking and burying. Except theirs weren't tests but tutorials.
Interesting test. Don't think he needed to actually put ammo in the boxes to test for water intrusion however. That seemed like a waste. To each their own.

You would think that he would have noticed that rubber gasket doesn't go all the way around the lid on those two plastic cans before he wasted all that .22 ammo with them.

That text went as expected
I liked his little ACR rant at the end |

guys a tard.... also, I would not trust mil ammo cans 100% either... id vac seal everything, then put it in the can.
Can someone please post a spoiler?
Was the ammo wet? Was the ammo damaged? If any leaked; did they all leak? |
I know my metal ammo cans are at least air tight.
Depending on the weather I can hear air sucking in as I open them. |
Great, I'm going to build a pond now so I can throw all my ammo cans in it.
Interesting idea for an "experiment", but executed by a moron. I'm disappointed he got a view from me.
He could've proven the same point with one box of ammo in each can
A simple "No" would have been fewer keystrokes, and still given you the +1 post count you desired.

Maybe shoot the ammo that was submerged to see if it was compromised? Hard to shoot a brick or paper. If he put a bead of silicone on the rim to seal it the man submerge it I bet it would have worked. |

Guy seems like a goober. If he would have babbled on for another forty minutes, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a Nutnfancy video.

Cheap shit plastic boxes weren't water tight.
Big fucking shocker. |

We used to fill a 50 cal can with bismuth shotshells and tie it to a decoy.
Harsens Island only allowed a 15 shell limit per man in the managed area, and that went quick while trying to hit teal. Never had an issue, but it was only in usually for an hour or three. One time we had to leave one in overnight, since the Jolly Green was snoop dogging us. |
