Oh and that thing that "wolve's will never attack humans and eat them"? Thats bullshit too.

Nor would I ever want to be surfing around a starving killer whale. I'd bet even a starving "Flipper" would take a fist sized chunk out of your ass.

Didn't know they could be thought to howl on command like this either.  Seems friendly enough.

Wolves are yuge.

I remember the first time seeing them at a zoo. Their heads equalled or towered the height of the trainers heads.

I've owned and worked with GSDs since I was a teenager. I've always heard about these massive 120-150 pound dogs as big as a wolf, but they always seem to temporarily shrink to 90lbs when you put them on a scale.
The biggest GSD on record is 130.

Yeah, they are big. Don't shoot one at the bottom of a 900ft incline when you're parked up top

Its give or take 10-20 pounds. It depends how much fur weight they shed that day.

Dags are pretty much just a subspecies of wolf.

Canis lupus
Canis lupus familiaris.

I'm pretty sure the hunting record was reset with a wolf well over 200 pounds, taken in Canada.

Well, according to the scale at the vet clinic, Bear weighed in at 119 lbs. (I rounded up. So sue me! ) the last time I was at the vet with him. The wife and I have changed our two dog's diet since then to Blue Mountain Healthy Weight (?), so he may have lost a few pounds.

He sounds more King Shephard sized IMO, but of course you can always breed something that seriously strays from breed standards.

AKC papers show him as a plain ole German Shepherd. He's a big, loveable lug. I've seen Kings and Bear doesn't look like them, but you never know. He's the biggest male GSD we've had. All total, the wife and I have raised 3 female and 3 male GSDs.

One thing to remember is that a bullmastiff's fur lays flat.  For bulk, what you see is what you get.  A wolf's fur is poofy, making it look bigger than it is.

But yeah, the wolf is damn tall.

That's a malamute.

They are genetically dissimilar to normal dogs, and a bit wild, but wolves they are not.

Animals naturally shrink in time in captivity  due to lots of inbreeding and a very controlled diet. You also lose a lot of the survival of the fittest aspects of pack animals in a controlled environment.
