I finally broke down and got a Hulu subscription mostly to see this.
I'm only on the 2nd episode but this version is much heavier than the 1978 one. I like Katee Sackoff in Longmire but I think, so far, she is in her prime as Starbuck. |

After watching the 2003 series I went back to relive my child hood and started watching the original TV show. Don't It was fucking horrible

That is my #1 favorite show ever. I envy you for getting to experience it for the first time.

BSG and lost were the shows that got me watching series TV for the first time as an adult. prior to those shows, i only watched sports, news, and movies.
now i have like 5 shows that i follow. |

She nailed Starbuck IMHO. Favorite TV series ever, but I'm a neeeeerd.

I watched the 2003 series and loved it. Decided to try the older ones. Unwatchable.

Going against the tide here I know.
But I can't stand that show. The characters are all completely psychotic, the setting is nuts and there are more Deus ex Machinas than you can shake a stick at. Tricia Hefler is quite entertaining and very nice to look at. I have really enjoyed seeing her in other shows. Also the special effects were pretty decent. Everything else though was just a salad of utter nonsense and drug addled fever dreams. I could go on, but that would get into spoiler territory. Edit, oop, looks like Medicfrost beat me to it. |

I love BSG. COL Tigh is far and away my favorite character.
The last season gets pretty weird though. |

It's an awesome show!
I got my girlfriend hooked on it, so I've got a good excuse to watch the whole series again. |

Awesome show. Been trying to talk the girlfriend into watching it. She's likes sci-fi, but so far is resisting.
Agree that going back to the original is....painful. Best to leave that for memories. |

I didn't like the new Starbuck.
She was just a political correctness rehash mistake. Instead of a fun, likeable, womanizing wingman we got a bitchy men-anizing fema-nazi.....although she was hot! 2nd season was okay.....series tanked after that. |
|
Pretty good show.
Not corny like the original, gritty and dark. Also: Tricia Helfer |

Best sci fi scene ever. Damn, all this talk now I gotta go watch it lol. |

absolutely love the show, never watched caprica though, any opinions on it? worth a watch?
|
|
Damn good series, except the ending.
That's more the fault of the network's meddling than the writers. |

I hope you guys noticed where they were at too. |
