Watch it happen, I am tracking this with no small amount of joy and amusement, and still not buying until I see sub-.04 cents a round.

Wally world has steadily had .22 for months now for just over 5 cents a round, really don't understand why anyone would pay more, but others are falling, Cabela's had bricks with no limit the other day for 6 cents a round. So now I am going to track the massive crash of .22 prices.

Today: Sub-.06, a new low for vendors other than WM, Federal Premium® Champion™ AutoMatch .22 LR 40-Grain Rimfire Ammunition, 18.99 for a 325 rd brick, free shipping if you spend over 25 bucks. .058 a round delivered. Academy sports and outdoors.

Feel free to add the deals you spot, but don't get caught up in buying fever, there's a long way to go, you'll see 500-525-550 bricks for the same price this 325 is going for, and it won't be long at all now, the falling price wars have just begun.

Neckbeards take note, .04 cents a round within a couple weeks, best sell now!

I stop in Wally twice a month on average, always walk through the ammo aisle, seen .22  - 3 or 4 times (PNW) since Sandy.

I did FO on CCI MM @ 6.5 Cents Del Gander Mountain.

When Federal hp 400 rounds is at or less than $10.00 again....I'll start to FO again--so yeah, .04 or less is my buy trigger. More than .22 I'm looking fwd to reloading components becoming available again.

All walmarts aren't created equal.  I haven't seen .22lr ammo at any local walmart in years.  Gander Mountain has started having it on the regular, with 7 cents per round being the cheapest.  I've been buying at the price for the last year or so.  I don't feel bad about it.. and I'll be thrilled if it goes back down to the pre-sandy hook prices.

My two local Walmarts are hit or miss.  One had a decent stock for about a month.  The other hasn't had anything but shorts and CB's when they do have something.

Not much problem with component availability around me, but I wish the prices would come down.

I bought 20,000 back in June at my local Academy.  Prices ranged from .03/rd to .07/rd.  The .03/rd was a special deal for the store opening.  The higher priced stuff was CCI mini mags.  IIRC the 8,000 Winchester Subsonics I picked up were about .055/rd.

I hope so. When I find it for $.05cpr, I'm gonna buy 40,000 frickin' rounds, just so I don't ever have to think about it again in my life. Say what you will, I ain't listnin'.

Oh pretty much all the walmarts have had it trickling in for months, you're not seeing it when you go in because most of us have jobs and lives, lol, so we may go once a week? But at the same time, there's old neckbeards been checking in every day, sometimes at 6:00 in the morning they are waiting for the truck to come in, it's messed up! They've been hoarding for a possible Hitlery win, but also flipping in the local gunboards and want ads.

All that shit is about to come crashing down. Y'all saw the thread about the guy trying to dump 120,000 rounds? Lol, and still trying to get .09 cents a round.... there's literally thousands of those guys out there, and now they're screwed.

Never understood the Walmart benchmark for .22

I've never had an issue buying .22

Ever.

The internet is a wonderful thing.

I did overpay ($0.12rnd) for some CCI Segmented Subsonic HPs a while ago, but most of my online purchases were around $0.06/rnd.

Including CCI SV and CCI Mini Mags.

Even the local gunshops here have had those since early summer. Still too expensive. But getting cheaper, was a bunch on slickguns earlier.

Falling 22 prices are good news! I'll be stocking up in the near future. No 22 at either Wally World within 30 miles of me since Sandy Hook. I hope the neckbeards get caught with vast stores of overpriced 22 they can't unload without losing money.

I haven't seen a single box of .22 LR at an east TN Walmart in over six years. According to an employee I talk to they do get it in occasionally, but it's only small quantities and it usually lasts less than an hour. I did recently find some Federal for 5 cents a round at Academy, but they had a six box limit and when it ran out the next day, it was not restocked.

Cheapest I can find is 8 cents per round, and even then it is hit or miss. Most SV is still at least 10 cents a round in this area.

There's plenty of .22 around here for about .06 a round, except at Walmart. I've only seen it once or twice at my local stores in the past 6 months.

All this last year it's been brass-cased .223 for around 6 bucks a box, prices have already tanked there, but I believe it could even go a little lower, cheaper obviously in bulk but I don't shoot a whole lot of .223. I may shoot more though since AR prices have also crashed to new lows, sub-400 bucks is a dang fine price for a new AR.

And in 2013 geniuses like you told us that .223 would never come back down below $0.50/round.
