I'm happy about the changes that you've been making since the site update went live.
I'm seeing the issue described in this thread as well: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1940618_The-page-isn-t-redirecting-properly.html |
|
Well, at least I can now get into this new thread! Yay! What was causing all the redirects earlier on threads with no replies?
|
|
|
First line after quoting, space bar does not work when using wysiwyg editor. Works fine with classic editor.
Using windows 10 on desktop mode. Thanks for all the hard work, it's looking a lot better since the release. |
|
We need a link to the CoC/ Terms of Service somewhere easily accessible.
Also, mod stuff. The mod forum testing thread has the info you seek about that. Edit: feature request - Active topics/subscriptions could either return to the previous selectable forums, or areas..or at least make the dropdown box persistent rather than the current 1) click active topics 2) wait for the page to load 3) click the filter for subforum area (general, AR, AK, Handguns, etc) 4) wait for the page to load again 5) get a chance to read relevant topics. I fixed this as a workaround by having my active topics bookmark lead to the menu selection I use (general) |

In mobile view I see the the dollar sign for EE feedback but it doesn't do anything. Is it supposed to do anything? Like display the number if I tap it?
also still no blue busted face guy in mobile view and now waving guy available either. |
|
I didn't go through 65 pages of the other thread, but I see bullet 6 states that "Folders now yellow/gray for all skins. (We made them nicer too.) ". Does this mean that the folders are going to go back to the yellow for new posts and gray for no new posts? If not it is really difficult to tell the difference between the 'dark' gray and 'subdued' gray that is being employed now.

I like the new site. I'm sure it will take time to make it all work well. Just like a brand new race car needs to be sorted.

Plus I must say it looks so much better. Next time choose better beta testers we would have had it looking proper from the get go (insert blue busted smiley face).
|
|
On my gs7 youtube videos extend over the right part of the screen so only about half of the video shows, other than that the new sight is great

View Quote When we were testing, we were stuck with the goshawful orange skin, with the promise of "more and better" to come along eventually. That didn't happen until release. The testing crew had nothing to do with that one. |

Thank you for the progress . Now if you can do something about getting randomly switched to the mobile site .

Great changes GB. Keep up the good work and thank you for responding to issues raised.

Page Author Box fix really helps with the spacing issues. Keep up the good work GB

Lol, I think the technofudds were heard loud and clear. Felt like I was talking to my parents, "Where did the comcast page go????" when their home page was a blank page that showed recently visited, etc. They literally could not navigate to it.
Anyway, the only issue I still have is youtube embed. It works only (viewing or posting) when I load the page http, instead of https, unfortunately. Using chrome on desktop. Could just be an individual issue, but figured I would post it. |

Much better. Needs a thumbs up button. View Quote Yes, a like button would be nice, so would an alert drop down menu that would give alerts for when someone liked your post or quoted your post. That is a nice feature over at Tacomaworld.com. Example: Attached File |

Just thought I'd say thanks for being diligent.
Not to say there weren't bugs, but the people bitchin' just cause it was different was silly. Now.. Can we get more than two posts per page? Please? That's been my only "complaint". |

Any headway with the spacebar bug with Chrome? Folders are still all grey for me? Do I need to adjust a setting? Edit: Nope, I just tried quoting you again and I had the same problem with the spacebar. |

View Quote I had a temp fix for all the folks who had issues with old green button jumps. (Going past the last page due to the 50 page standardization.) Anyhow, it did not work well with new topics. |

I have a few chrome devices to test with. |

Huge improvement! Thank you @GoatBoy
Here are the issues I'm still having: Mobile, Chrome on Android (Samsung Galaxy Note 5): 1. YouTube videos are only showing the left half of the video. The right half is cut off, and I can't scroll to the right or zoom out. 2. Text is wrapping for the subforum descriptions, e.g. under Armory, New Products says: Previews of New Guns and Gea r! Desktop, Chrome on Windows 10: 1. Drop-down menus instead of tabs are cumbersome. 2. "Select File" button being centered really makes it look like the Submit button now. Could the "Select File" and "Upload" be moved over to the left in line with the other buttons, then reverse the order of the buttons so "Submit" is on the right? And a suggestion: Would it be possible to get Polls added when creating a new topic rather than having to edit it after posting it? |
|
Can you do something to differentiate links better? You can't tell whats a link and whats just red text. For instance
This is a link and this is red text but you cant tell until you hover over it. |
|
Fuck yeah, looking good on mobile now. Thanks for your hard work! I mean, I know you're not working for charity but still, my work is project based and the editing stage can be brutal and tedious.

The icons represent feedback and if you mouse over for a sec, will tell you the score. (% good and total sales count) It was the only way to get it in without giving up space and it's a nice quick way to see it. Anyone with no feedback shows gray. Green is good to go! Red means they somehow avoided getting banned. |
|
Looking good so far. I do miss not having my feedback clearly visible I worked hard for my 100% and paid a bunch too
On my small netbook I had to set my browser view to 67% to fit everything on my screen. Is that normal? |
|
This is excellent, @GoatBoy. Thank you!
The only problem I see, and this may be by design, but if you use ABP and block "ar15.com##.expanded.row.collapse" you cannot see or use the User Info, Reply, etc. buttons at the bottom of posts. They're all gone. |
|
Better here, there's now a reply button at the bottom of the thread, I can see post counts, spacing isn't so bad, and I can see a $ next to names which I'm assuming is feedback, but there's no number or percentage.
Edit, just saw the feedback explanation, but mobile is different. Can't click on it or anything to see the info either. |

Why isn't New Topics pulling the new topics from the entire site. Is there a tweak I need to do or is that screwed up too?
