I can't count how many times I've read posts by members, claiming that their wives were completely uninterested and they were just hanging in there for the kids. I've even known some men IRL that had similar situations.
Today, my wife was telling me that her co-worker broke down and said that her husband hasn't touched her in 6 years. When I expressed shock at this (she's hot), my wife said she knows other women that claim that they have husbands with no interest in them sexually. This got me thinking that this could be a loop, created by poor communication in the relationship. I mean seriously, everyone wants sex at some point. I can see getting wrapped up in the daily chaos and realizing that it's been a couple of weeks. To go "years" without sex, there has to be some desire. Maybe you guys that are in this boat, should take her out, get a few drinks in her and act like it's your first date. What's the worst that could happen? |

After a guys is turned down enough times, he stops fucking asking.
Half the humans on the planet have vaginas, finding one to stick your dick into isn't all that hard. |
|
I'd bet a paycheck that it's 98% men as the victim of a sexless marriage. The reasons are obvious.

Living it right now and it is gonna be the split of us. Lucky to get it twice a month.
She literally has no interest in sex. She told me that when we started dating 9 years ago, being dumb i thought i could change her. Not so much, she does it for me but has no interest in it. She also has no interest in having kids and she is 32. We are 9 years in and I want kids and sex... we own a house together. But we have made the choice to likely go our own ways. |

How many times was coworker's husband rejected by his wife before he lost interest? Two sides to every story.

A good friend of mine says they routinely go months without sex. She's told him before that once a year would be fine with her. My wife on the other hand is a multiple times a day kind of chick.

I know marriages like this and usually one or both partners are poking someone else outside of the marriage.

I get turned down almost every day, but I ask like 3 times a day too.
Getting some once a week is about the minimum, 2-3x is more realistic depending on how exhausting life is being for us at what week. Barring a medical condition, if she had zero interest I probably wouldn't last long, it's an important part of a relationship. |

Didn't have sex with my first wife the last 2 years of our marriage. She explained she had the desire for sex, just not with me apparently.
It's all good, really enjoyed myself after the divorce. |

Or he got fat and his hormones tanked. Or her hormones tanked. Or his side chick is draining his balls. Or he's gay... etc. Sometimes two people just don't want to screw anymore. Sounds like personal problems. |

yeah, it sucks when the other party has no interest. For me most the time is just her laying there when she does give in and tells me to hurry up.

Some men are no longer attracted to their wives.
You mentioned she's hot, so may not be relevant to this situation. |

A good friend of mine has a sexless marriage, been 15 years. I have told him he ought to just get a divorce.

Our friends give my wife and me a ton of shit because we have sex as often as we do. 3-4 times a week is about what it is. Twice yesterday though. I woke her up at 3 am and she was good to go.
I can't imagine not doing it. Something is not right and someone needs to fix their shit. |

Current research suggests it's ONE in FIVE marriages.
Because I divorced my husband over this--among other things (three years of zilch), I've been doing some reading on this subject recently. Divorced life has been good for me. |

My brother is in one of these marriages, sex maybe every 6 months and usually when she wants another kid.
Case in point... He told her earlier this year he wants no more kids, and wants her to wake up just once a month to cook breakfast so he can sleep in for the first time in 8 years (she doesn't work). She said she wants to move to FL. He said ok hoping that would shut her up. She came up and told us she controls him in the bedroom and whether or not they have kids. Last week, she told us she's pregnant. She still hasn't woken up once to cook the kids breakfast and now says it's because she's pregnant and too tired. |

Living in one right now. Once or twice a month if Im lucky. View Quote That's quite a bit. I have a screaming 14 month old that has put all but a halt to anything around here. Between the baby and my frequent double shifts and shitty schedule - I think we've had the time or desire to do it twice in a year. |

From my first marriage, Its one thing not having sex. Lack of sex can be from hormones, age and physical problems or mental issues. After all, we did say for better or worse and if you really love someone there are other ways to satisfy your needs.
Its quite another not any having affection or touching. Even men need this in my humble opinion. some sort of affirmation that the person still loves them. Its the shits without it. Especially when you realize she gives the dog or cat more hugs and affection than you. |
