I've been at this company for about 2 years now. I get along with everyone and do a good job. Our director recently quit. In comes new interim director. He's an extremely passive aggressive construction project engineer. I work safety. I call him out on a few unsafe things, very professionally, and he takes it extremely personally. Guy is a libtard that does not wear the pants in his family. His wife probably benches more than him and has resting bitch face. Now he's spreading rumors through the company about me, making it very personal - calling me a narcissist to others, etc.. He has ruined my relationship with my professional mentor, a VP at the company.
We got the new director today. Interim bitch proceeds to tell him all these made up things about me and personally attacks me on the guys first day. This was behind closed doors. He smiles at me in the hallway, shakes my hand and pretends everything is okay but behind the door he's a pussy bitch backstabbing passive aggressive piece of shit. Need some clever payback ideas. I don't want to go to jail or be fired so I may need to resort to guerrilla under-the-radar tactics like this fuck stick. |

confront him in the hallway and tell him hes a fucking pussy. then tell him that you guys can take it to the garage if he wants to keep talking shit. That always works in corporate environments.

While it's just you and him bait him into confessing what he is doing, make him show his true form, hide a digital recorder in your pocket. Go to VP or senior management and show them the POS that he is.
ETA - Sometimes to root out a weasel you have to think like a weasel. As a man I'd want to beat the crap out of him but that's frowned upon in the corporate world. You need to catch him in how own words showing his true colors. He can't weasel out of that. |
|
My guess is passive aggressive Dick is probably scared to death of conflict also. Call him out on his shit talking in front of coworkers and watch him squirm. Be forceful in pressing him about what he has said but keep it professional.

Doesn't say much. Then he tries to justify his actions even though all code and procedure says he's 100% wrong. He doesn't drink beer, whiskey, or scotch. He drinks wine. He brings his wife bed in breakfast every day and cooks her dinner everyday even though he does put in a lot of hours at work. She keeps his balls. |

In all seriousness it sounds like you need to have a closed door session of your own with the new head honcho. Be sure to mention you're on the verge of filing a harassment/hostile work environment claim with your HR department. You need to tackle this head on and you need to do it SOON. Leave the guerilla tactics to the movies, in real life they always backfire.

Find out his work email address and from a third party computer register him at gay porn sites, use his cell and email to place ads for brony gay sex on craigslist and other sites. Pay a gay male stripper to come to work and make a scene as in lovers spat with him... |

Even if you are furious keep the emotions to yourself and try to look as unaffected as you can. If you are too worked up I would suggest leaving for a little while until you can calm down and then re-engage. In situations like this it can be hard but you will be glad you did. |

If he, and interim, has the power to sabotage a relationship you had with the VP, then you didn't have much of a relationship there to begin with.
I'd start there and try to establish what exactly this person is doing to you behind those closed doors and hopefully you have the work record to back it up. |
|
So, Op is the safety guy at work? The other guy is probably in the right here. Op, you need to work harder at getting along with others.
Just kidding Sort of. |

Revenge is for suckers. You probably won't get any as people like that tend to float to the top. The best thing you can hope for is to protect yourself from this person until they move on or until you can move on.
I had a front line manager way back who become a friend of mine (or so I thought). This person was not qualified for the job (shock) but was not a mouth breathing moron as many others are. Like the idiot I am, I taught this person their job. That person then tried to destroy me first by trying to make things so uncomfortable as to force me out ( I came close to resigning), by destroying my promotion potential (slandering and libeling me to my superiors), and then by trying to get me fired (false accusations). Here is what I did and then what I recommend: -First and foremost: do not violate any corporate policies. The first two places management will go when they want to fire you will be your internet browsing history (if you surf Arfcom or anything else at work, stop now) and then your travel vouchers followed by time and attendance. If you run late and "make up for this" by staying late; stop. While they may not care that you stay late they will crucify you for showing up late. -I did my job as well as I could striving for perfection. You will make mistakes but don't make any serious mistakes as these will be used to reinforce the narrative the person is spreading about you to destroy you. -Don't bad mouth this person to your superiors, co-workers, or this person's superiors. I made this mistake once and learned the hard way that doing this just gives fodder to the person who wants you go. When I became a manager I learned management is a club and members generally either want to protect their fellow members (relaying what you say about the person to the person) and/or do not want to hear "griping" from underlings. There are exceptions to this rule however you won't know who is who so just don't do it. -Open CYA (Cover Your Ass) files and keep copious, accurate records both of your own activities and work history as well as the person who wants you gone. Keep and archive your emails (and be wary of anything you send in email form or in any non verbal form). These people tend to be sloppy, lazy, and prone to mistakes. Find them and document them. DO NOT RECORD THEM SECRETLY as you could run afoul of legal issues (violating state law) or corporate / company policies and give them the excuse they are looking for to get rid of you. Even if they don't fire you, and even if they agree with you, they will never trust you and you have killed your career for nothing. These records can be useful to disprove the false accusations made against you. Showing a person to be a liar with hard evidence tends to have a dramatic effect. -Be patient and bide your time. If you cannot stomach what this person is doing and wait patiently, get your resume together and start looking for another job while you still have your current one and while you can still leave with out a cloud over your head. I did all of these things and when confronted with the accusations made against me (and my performance evaluations), I was able to demonstrate with documentation the lies. I was blessed with the fact that my manager's manager actually cared about performance (which is rare) and when confronted with the fact that my documented history did not match the lies told about me, left me alone (and ultimately led to me being promoted). Then I waited until I was in a position to create the circumstances that allowed that person mentioned earlier to show his/her *** in public before the people who were interviewing him/her for a promotion (which would have given this person authority to outright fire me instead of having to lower my performance and shove me out). They denied this person the promotion and then I was promoted to a level comparable with his/hers. Good luck to you. TL; DR: get your resume ready while you hope for the best. |

So you are saying that your supervisor is RETALIATING against you after you voiced your opposition to safety issues?
These wouldn't happen to be OSHA based safety issues? If only there was an OSHA office for something like that. |

Let the bullshit was over you. If you react, you become part of the problem. I've seen the same thing happen in my staff. If you react you demonstrate your vulnerabilities. If you don't then you demonstrate your maturity and professionalism. They, on the other hand, generally end up with their cards marked as being disruptive to team working and become self limiting. Others will see him for what he is soon enough. In fact the less you react, the more he will expose himself if he continues. These people are often self-defeating, and will be made to move on soon enough. |

If such a conversation can't be had, just do your job well and don't worry about it. But if you wish to destroy him, remember to serve it up cold. |
