I will but I need to catch a marathon to get caught up. Didn't it end with them getting captured? Last one I really remember was them getting blamed for bombing the coast.

My whole family likes the show (admittedly, Adam Baldwin plays heavily into that

), so we'll record it and watch it whenever time allows (may be a while, lots going on this summer).

They already did a sneak peak of the first new episode, FWIW, I have it on the DVR but haven't watched it yet.

Season 2 actually ended on a relative high note, except for one thing.

I've enjoyed the show, despite it's flaws.
I'm looking forward to the new season.

I honestly thought that they had pretty much ended the element of the story that serves as the show's premise. I also wasn't that fond of how they actually portrayed naval combat and the like, among other things, although it was just able to keep my attention nevertheless. I also thought that they wrapped everything up way too quickly and easily.

Anyways, I have thought for some time now that the Walking Dead universe would be great for a Last Ship sort of story.

I think John Ringo's books have some zombies on the seas stuff, I kindof lost interest before they set sail though

Bought "The Last Ship" book, from the 19080's, very dry. The Ringo series I read all 4 books, would make a great mini-series or some such thing.

I for sure will tune into Season 3, thanks OP.

I had a lot of trouble suspending disbelief for the series during Season 2. I'll give a couple of Season 3 episodes a try and see if it's any better.

I kept having a flashback whenever i did watch it, though.

I watched both Seasons 1 & 2 a couple of weeks ago, it wasn't bad and looking forward to 3.

I would have really liked to have seen a full book adaptation with the nukes, that would have been sweet. Kinda like "By Dawn's Early Light" with Powers Booth and Rebecca De Mornay.

I don't know the first thing about the Navy, naval combat, ships, helicopters...

The marathon was last Sunday I think. The last season may be on Netflix though

I've only seen the first season. I liked it.

I don't watch broadcast TV, so when it hits Amazon Prime I'll watch them.

How did I see the first episode last weekend?

It was so weird it showed up on my dvr last Tuesday at 12:30am and I thought it was a rerun. Nope it was the first episode in its entirety. Did someone screw up?

Nope. It was a sneak peak (my DVR even listed it that way) as I said in the 2nd reply above.

It was the 1st hour of a 2-hour premiere that was supposed to air tonight (though I'll agree it ended like a regular ep would have... so the "2-hour premiere" could just be the 1st two episodes strung together, certainly not the first time a show has done that.

I don't think they "got leaked". I think they showed it in Canada and someone caped it up there and put it on the net. The first one aired about two weeks ago at 10pm eastern as an early release.

Didn't he head out on his own with his daughter in last season's finale (in which they were reunited)?

One of my favorite characters, I hope he shows back up early in this new season.

Ringo's book do, but GOD does he hate the AR-15. By book 3 or so, he spends about 15% of the book just bitching about how the 5.56 takes 5X as many rounds as an AK. It get REALLY boring, REALLY fast. That and the fact that a 13 year old girl is better than any Marine alive.

I Tivoed the new episodes of the Last Ship (or at least I thought I did), it had moments last season (season one was a joke), so I am hopeful, as there isn't much else on.

Season 1 was good.
(They probably should have ended it there on a high note.)

Season 2 was full of derp.

Caught the last part of the new episode when it aired 2 weeks ago - more derp.
Cancelling the premiere last week was stupid.

Turned on the DVR tonight to see the first 2 minutes where they announced that the other eye candy was killed off - now there is no reason at all to watch.
Deleted the saved episodes & cancelled future recordings.

The show is done.
