Yes, I know there is a sub for knives but I see cool shit posted here in GD by people who aren't in the sub then forget what the title of the thread was and then get bored trying to search through every random knife related thread in GD.

This is what I usually carry for long bike rides:

A waved Spyderco Delica and a Kwaiken by Dynamik Blades aka Smithy
___________________________________________________
OTTOMH

Easily available:
ZT

Semi-available (regular drops but will sell out):
CRK
Hinderer
Koenig

Then you get to midtech stuff that's much harder to snag, and there are too many to really list but guys like
Les George
Jonathan McNees
Brad Southard
Demko

Of course there's the full production stuff:
Spyderco
Hogue
Kershaw
Microtech
Protech

Medford
Olamic
Emerson
Spartan

I will run out of eggs and milk before I don't have mushrooms in the fridge.

The ones by our office gave us a soft start to the year, now they are shitting everywhere so bad that we have to shovel goose poop out of our parking lot.

It's a couple. No eggs, so I assume they are both the same sex and just partners in crime. Assholes.

I should be thankful though. We only ever have the same two. they usually gather in larger groups near our office. so there is that.

Happy Sunday!
No knife pic today. 111 in the pocket since Thursday. Spring clean up the last few days. Like a good retired person I gave up and hired someone to rake my backyard.
Getting to arthritic for this shit!
Riding mower ready to go and removed the snow blower from the tractor. Need to clean and mount it on.
Relaxing today, will get back at it tomorrow. Was given some maple from a downed tree at a friends house. I cobbled up a quick bowl in repayment.
Attachment Attached File

Think I will switch out 111 to the fixed blade. Changed my mind on a knife pic:

Only good thing about the nest, if there is one, is that the male chases away all the other geese. We get swarmed about twice a year.

I had 3 640s.

Down to 2.

I own 3 Emerson Kwaikens.

Both the Nene and the Canadian Goose used to be endangered. I knew the Canadian goose had been removed from the Endangered list, but I (incorrectly) assumed the Nene was still endangered. According to wikipedia, it has been moved up to "Near Threatened" which means it is still protected but has bounced back from the brink.

Canadian geese are a problem in our area. One local condo complex has a nice lake and attractive green spaces and has not done anything to discourage geese from nesting around the lake for the past 20 years. Shockingly, there is a sizable population of aggressive geese that are attacking the residents trying to enjoy the lake and side walks around it. They have hired a guy to come chase them out and I saw him using a green visible laser at night to point on the ground near them.

They
Freaked
Right
The
Fuck
Out.

He stated he believes the light resembles a predator's eyes at night and that it triggers a fight/flight response.
He does not point the laser at the geese, but rather on the ground near them.

I found that to be an interesting response.

Might give it a whirl?

A while ago I went on a chow run to a Thai place. One of the guys said "I'm OK with heat, what level should I get?"

I told him "Get mild. Thai spicy is different. I eat and make a lot of spicy foods but it don't fuck around with Thai levels until I've worked my way up at a restaurant"

He got medium.

Later I walk by and he's all red faced fighting down his food.

That place has some killer larb. I should swing by.
