For everyone just tuning in, let me see if I can give some cliffnotes, until OP updates:

What is known:

9 people killed. Shooter also dead, not currently known if he was killed by first responders or suicide.

Carried three handguns and a "long gun". Also wore body armor.

Shooter talked about commiting this atrocity on Internet forum 4chan in the days prior. Some members try to discourage him from doing anything, others encouraged him to carry it out, going as far as to give tips for maximum devastation, some of the advice seems to have been followed.

Was "anti-religious", asked the victims religious beliefs, if they were Christian they were shot in the head, if not they were shot in the leg or elsewhere.

Attended a "special" school for "troubled" students.

Lived with his single mother, whom he had moved from California to Oregon with. Father was not in his life.

2 online accounts have been found belonging to him, one for a dating website, the other was a MySpace account. The dating profile listed him as conservative, republican, zombie killer, who liked eating brains. One MySpace friend was female, the other male. The male has an affection for Al Qaeda. His MySpace profile pics have a lot of IRA propaganda pictures.

Picture being circulated early on was false, a plant by some 4chan users as some kind of inside joke. The whole thing is a joke to some posters there, with some even celebrating the fact he actually carried it out.

He was registered with the state of Oregon as an Independent voter.

Members here have friends family that were involved and injured, DashiSpy posted hospital pics or the father who was shot, on his sons birthday.

What is not corroborated:

Users on the 4chan forum say he ranted about his school not being "diverse enough" and we should be doing more to help refugees from the Middle East. One poster said he thought the guy was "full of hot air", and took screen grabs of the rants that he was going to post back on 4chan.

One forum member on 4chan might have reported him to the FBI prior.

Whether or not he was actually Republican or Conservative. (most likely not IMO)

An active shooter was at an Oregon college on Thursday, according to a tweet local Douglas County Fire District No. 2.

The tweet stated 10:45 a.m. that there was an active shooter at “UCC.”

According to various tweets, “UCC” was Umpqua Community College.
