Let me take a wild guess, the rifle was fine, right up until he dicked with it, just like the Larue.

Cliff Notes? I'm not watching 34 hours of youtube for a single gun review.

So he picked two of the better ARs with two of the undeniably most rabid fan bases to pick on? Me thinks he's fishing for attention by the type bait he is using. Anyone can bash Hesse. Bashing Knights is gangsta.

at any KAC fanboys that laughed when LaRue was the target
ETA: I own both and think both are awesome. |

He doesn't hate it, he just doesn't think its the cat's meow.

Oh look another 20 minutes of rambling nothingness. I'm actually surprised it's only 20 minutes this time. Still not watching

Cliff Notes? I'm not watching 34 hours of youtube for a single gun review. View Quote It was painful but I suffered through. The premise of the video is "Is a KAC rifle worth $2,000?" The problem is that he is reviewing a ragged out Mod 0 and comparing it to brand new DD and BCM among others. He reads online reviews of newer model SR-15s and then predictably complains about stuff that has been changed since the Mod 0, namely the weight. He whines about the weight while he has a full power optic on top, and he can't understand why the KAC rifle weighs more than his custom built rifles, which were specifically designed to be light weight. He did not do his homework before the video and it showed. |

Not clicking that.
Guy is clearly trolling for clicks at this point. |

The only thing I don't like about KAC is the way they continue to innovate and cause me to spend money. Nut'n really has the right to remain silent.

Someone who talks a lot usually gets a little humbled and stupid when perks point it out.
This guy doesn't. I can't stand him, I don't even click his videos to give him the credit for a view |

I couldn't finish his rambling but isn't that the LPR with the Krieger? And it's not worth 2k? Is this real life?

The KAC I have is actually pretty damn light for a 16 inch barrel. Mod 1 URX 3.1
I put an Elcan on it too which isn't exactly the lightest optic. |
|
Let's just assume for a moment this dude was trying to be objective (which we know is not the case). I'm wondering what the round count on the barrel is, and if that effected the accuracy.

I'll go against the grain here. I agree that the hype is a little overdone on KAC. Guys on this very forum have bestowed a mythic status on the SR15, and often say things like Nutnfancy quotes from the internet (the "intangibles"). I own an SR15. I bought it because I'm a lefty and thought the ambi controls would be great. I wouldn't say I'm underwhelmed by the SR15, but I don't get the hype. Honestly I choose my DDM4v11 4 times out of 5 over the KAC. That said, I still think the SR15 is a great value when you factor in the folding sights and ambi controls. It is a nice firearm, just not really any better than other good brands. |

I bought a Mod 0 during the panic for around 1600.
He is as good at finding deals as he is at installing gas blocks. |
