Lets change the BOTD rule.
Here is my proposed change. (also this isn't the first thread I've made on this, but ya'll old people forget quick and need reminded.  )Current rule: 9) BOTD specific.
Changed rule: 9) BOTD specific.
Done and done. Bring BOTD to the GD Yeah I know it's not my site yadda yadda eat a dick. I'm a paying member and can inject my opinions when I feel like it. |

Before someone says it will be mayhem and unenforceable just take a look at the word dindu.
TBK made an announcement that "dindu" could no longer be used as a replacement for black people, rather it can only be used when describing criminals who claim they "dindu do nuffin". And behold, it worked, and no one uses it in that context anymore. Done and done. |

It used to be so. You could have BOTD anywhere as long as it was properly tagged. You could even have tasteful nudity in the very early days IIRC.

The way it used to be is just like you described. It was fine as long as BOTD was in the title. Well, people would use random memes and shit from all over so the OP would need to monitor his own thread, or site staff would have to go in and edit the title. It worked fine for the most part, but people on the internet are stupid children, and members kept pushing the envelope. So then we had limited BOTD only threads in GD. There were only so many allowed at a time. We couldn't handle that either, and an all out ban was put in place. Then the specific forums were created, but even those are heavily policed. If you want to see porn and half naked women, use Bing and get the real stuff. If you get the shakes after having not seen a woman in a bikini in the last five minutes on a gun forum, then maybe you have a bigger problem. |
