Sounds like Ruger is trying to build up some expertise in the "really really accurate" rifle arena. Good for them.

Ruger? Just what the world needs.
A precision rifle with an right pound, gritty trigger. |
|
They had to do it since Mossberg (and probably others) makes something similar.

They did pretty well with their All American series. This might be a sleeper.

Looks pretty good.
Well done Ruger (bonus points for making one in 6.5 Creedmoor). |

Call me when it's chambered in .338 Lapua, at 15 lbs, I'm thinking it's not going to be any better, overall, than my 18" Sig716

Interesting.
If msrp is $1399 any guess on to what the street price may be? |
|
Ruger makes good rifles
They are no longer the company that put out wildly inaccurate mini 14s |
|
If they street price is under a $1,000 I might be interested.

made by ruger mags that no one else makes? It takes both AICS and SR25 style mags. Wait wut? thats NOT the ruger way! WTF are they thinking! Don't you have guns that need smithing. Stop stomping my thread I'm actually kind of impressed with the whole M100, SR25, and AICS compatibility though. Must have been a pain to design the locking system IF it works. Wouldn't mind seeing a smaller version in .223, 300 aac, x39, and some other Pmag compatable calibers as well. |

The MSRP on the Guide Gun is $1240 and I see them for $8-900 so sub $1k I'd imagine, if not a bit cheaper. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Looks sexy to me. The new Ruger seems to be actively listening to the complaints that many people have had about Rugers over the years.

Not interested .
Had to have been designed by a committee . And we all know how effective committees are . gd |

Interdasting
If the trigger is decent and street price is under $1000, I might be interested in one of these ETA: it looks like it may be able to use AR15 handguards? ETA 2: Yes it can! "May be configured with any AR-style handguard." |
|
I'm guessing the trigger sucks like every Ruger product.....nothing a competent gunsmith can't fix though.
.243 would work. |

Since Bill assumed room temperature, a lot of the stupid Ruger is known for seems to have assumed room temperature as well. Competition and making capital will do that. |
