For a landlocked state, it sure looks like Nebraska must have a lot of "boating" accidents.
|
|
Something is fucky with these numbers. There's no way that DC is anywhere near 26%.
My money is on they were lazy and just did all guns, including .gov owned, by capita. |
|
|
It all depends on where they got the numbers. How many people tell there health insurance company that they own guns?
|
|
Well, I am going to assume this graph is 100% accurate, because I read it on the interwebs.
Let's take this walk down logic lane... Gun ownership is an indicator of conservatism. California has more guns than Nebraska. Hence, Nebraska is more liberal than LA. GO! |

People in Nebraska and Ohio just answering with the "tragic boating accident" line....

NFW does HI beat out TX in gun owners per capita, it must be the lack of beans in their chilli.
|

Much like the recent studies that state gun ownership is at a low in the US.
I think people have gotten smarter and other than the Federal Reporting Agencies reporting and the registering Counties who the fuck is going to answer honestly. Not this guy. Fuck em', it will be a surprise when the left decides they want to try and come get them. |

Roughly 2 million gun owners in Washington State? Riiiiiiight.
Bullshit graphic. Show me the breakdown of how many guns in each household. Most of the 27.7% (around 20%) would be 1 gun per home. A state so invested in rimming Obama's asshole with the likes of Patty Murray, Maria Cantwell, and Jim McDermott could not possibly be at same level of ownership as Missouri and Pennsylvania. The populations in Eastern Washington and the Pro 2nd Amendment people we have here on the Wetside just don't lead me to believe the ~2 million number. |

So since nearly every of the roughly 320 MILLION people that YOU know own some type of shotgun or rifle, the visual and its information are clearly inaccurate. NY at 10.3%???? They are lying through their teeth. Just in NYC it's estimated at 25%. And everywhere outside of that shithole the gun ownership only increases. Where did the numbers come from?

Is that based on 4473`s or nicz or what? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes The map is from a very short article by Andy Kiersz and Brett LoGiurato, a couple of anti-gun leftists at the click-bait website, Business Insider . The researchers conducted the survey of 4,000 adults in an attempt to answer the question of how many Americans own a firearm — and why — amid a lack of overall data and statistics on gun ownership. They found a broad regional variation in gun ownership — from as low as near 5% in some areas to as much as 66% in others. In individual states, this ranged from 5.2% ownership in Delaware to 61.7% in Alaska.
Here's a map illustrating their results: The data is from a study, Gun Ownership and Social Gun Culture, conducted by the equally anti-gun Bindu Kalesan and Marcos D Villarreal of the School of Public Health, Columbia University, New York and the School of Public Health, Boston University, Boston, MA. The full PDF of the "study" is here In their conclusion, the authors wrote that they found a "strong association between social gun culture and gun ownership. Gun cultures may need to be considered for public health strategies that aim to change gun ownership in the USA." And FBHO. |

These numbers seem way off in a lot of states .
Hawaii at almost 50% ? Illinois at 25%? Nebraska seems too low Massachusetts seems too high How are these numbers generated? Is this a sampling? Is this actual counts of 4473's? Or is this another example of "fun with statistics" *edit* the poster above me answered my question....more fun with statistics |

Percent that they know about anyway. This. It only shows legally owned guns, not the ones circulating in the illegal markets. You're implying that guns they don't know about are illegal. Not so. I suspect there is a large percentage that own guns and simply said none of your business, fuck you and your poll or lost them in a tragic boating accident. |

Not bad when you consider the percentage isn't excluding children.

Larger states are skewed by urban populations
Other states with smaller are helped by relatively thinly populated rural areas DC with its gun laws has a 25% ownership rate? |
