Doing some gardening this morning and a 2' long coral snake crawled out of some rocks. I kill all the poisonous snakes in my yard and let the good snakes go. I have several small grandkids and don't want them getting bit. Killed a diamondback about 2 weeks ago.
I was trying to just take its head off and it moved and I cut it into 2 equal parts. The dangerous part crawled away back into some yuccas and a foot long tail piece tried to crawl away. Threw the tail down by the river for the vultures. Have not been able to find the front end. How long can a dead coral snake live? |

Snakes have a super slow metabolism and take awhile to die. If you cut him in half he's dead

Not sure but interested as well
I kied one last year, scared the grandkids would get a hold of it. In my freezer now for show and tell |

Between the head and shoulders is instant death.
The farther from the neck, the longer it can live. Rule of thumb is 10 minutes for each inch. |

It was not on a treadmill.
It did bite the shovel several times after it was cut in two. |

So basically, you took off extra weight.
So now it's faster. And pissed? |

It's gonna grow what you chopped off in about 4 hours, and now it's angry. Good job.

OP, GD is too canny to be roped into your trick question.
This is a gun board, why did you not shoot it? Pics of a bikini model holding the undead snake with tongs, or it didn't happen. |

Well, basically snakes don't have parts. But if I had to call it anything, I would say it's his knee.

Guys! Duh! Its 87 minutes. A dead coral snake can live for 87 minutes.

OP probably swung his purse at a milk snake.
"Red on Yellow, kill a fellow. Red on black, friend of Jack." |

Each piece grows into a new snake. When they start to stink, it's not decomposition, it's a defense mechanism so nothing eats them before they grow back." She believed me for 2 days. |

Some people should be forced to wait five minutes after typing message before one can hit submit. Just to think about what one is submitting.
Didn't OP just make two snakes out of one? |
