I asked her today if she wanted to pop some fireworks on Saturday and she said no. I asked why not and she said she didn't like the noise.
Ask her if she wants to go shooting and she's all for that though. |

One of my little girl cousins has some auditory issues and she hates loud noises or crowded areas. Do you think your daughter may something similar?

Our daughters are the source of all punishment for every transgression we have committed... Or will commit in the future.

My daughter hates fireworks, she has been asking every day if it is the 4th. She is dreading it.
|
|
I called my local cop buddy and asked him how much trouble would I get in if I was caught shooting fireworks off. He said it is only a ticket. I asked how much. I may squeak 3 bottle rockets off before I leave for the lake.

I can't even fathom using the term "defective" in any relation to my daughter

Oddly enough, with plugs and muffs, she's happy to go to the range. I don't like the 4th around here.. It's like WW3, and I worry about some moron burning my house down. I'm glad of the rain we've had this week. |

Haha. Give her some ear plugs and let her light a few and run away , that's half the fun!
|
|
Ask her if she hates freedom? Then explain to her that even though she may choose not to exercise her right to set off fireworks today, that there are those out there that would pass laws and regulations that would forevermore prohibit her from being able to do so at a later date. Then explain that the only way to prevent such future restrictions is to exercise her rights today however slight.

She doesn't like chicken and dumplings either. Definitely defective. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Sorry I did not see this before my first post, are you sure you are the father? Just like the baby male chickens at a Foster Farms ranch this one too need's to go down the belt and become feed for new chickens. I hope you hatched more than one egg and if not, there's always next season. Better luck next time Dad! |

A lot of fireworks you can feel in your chest. Guns, outside not really. Maybe that's the feeling she doesn't like, not so much the noise.

Fireworks are too loud. So are guns, but at least they're useful.
Daughter is right. This holiday sucks, and so does New Years. |
|
Let her wear hearing protection while using the fireworks and she'll probably enjoy them.

Mine asks for milk in the morning. Then cries for 30 minutes and refuses to drink it when I give it to her.... but throws a tantrum if I take it away..... count your blessings

Pretty normal (if not annoying, as well) actually. |

What a relief. I assumed this was going to be a gay thread. I see it is just a freedom hating thread.

There is one difference I notice in that scenario, she wears ear protection while shooting, have her wear ear pro while lighting off fireworks and I'm sure she will enjoy them a little more

I prefer things to be quiet; if there's going to be noise, I want some goddamn reward for it. While I enjoy blowing off some fireworks now and then, it's not as satisfying as a day at the range. |

My oldest daughter has had ear problems since she was a baby. She can't stand fireworks but she'll shoot all day as long as we shoot suppressed.
