Unless I missed it, most of the ships were not flying the US flag.
Is that because the photos were taken before the ships were accepted by the Navy or what? Don't US military ships normally fly the US flag? I never thought about it before. |

Those mine sweepers do not look like they would be fun to be aboard during a storm at sea.

Seeing that kind of power is just a little relief for the cash I had to hand over last week.

All show unless we are willing to actually use it. I have my doubts that our leadership has the guts to "pull the trigger", even if warranted.

Have to ask:
While I realize that perspective can be difficult to rationalize in pictures, the cruiser and the destroyer look to be about the same size. What is the difference? |
|
lol Iran...go back to wearing large gold chains and wearing too much colon.

Unless an admiral or two go rouge, then nothing will happen and the Iranians will carry on as they were.

All of that don't mean a damn thing.
Obama refuses to name the enemy. BFD. |

Is it just me, or are those Arleigh-Burke destroyers sexy as hell!

Considering both of the ones present in Yemen are 510ft, I figured it'd be a fair number. I suppose you're crying about the 5 feet. |

I'm wondering what type of/how many subs would accompany a task force of that size? |

Iran has a few Kilos and Yugos (submarines) that could pose a legitimate threat. Obviously, their competence level and technology is nowhere near ours, but under the right circumstances, they could cause some trouble before being destroyed. |

Which is incredibly unlikely if a carrier is nearby. |

I'm just glad to see a navy ship name USS Winston Churchill. I think it should be on a carrier or boomer but a destroyer will work. Give them hell Winston.
