I would have turned down a guy who dressed that casually for interview as well. I've seen people dress better for a job at Burger King.

Smart move by the recruiter either way cuz that cunt would probably be an HR nightmare accusing everyone of sexism and harrasment.

I have a hard time believing that she was denied a programming job over that outfit, but who knows.

My wife works for a major software company, and they could care less what anyone looks like. Purely results based. They don't even do in person interviews.

She's pretty full of herself, but I don't see any problem with what she's wearing.

Especially for a programming job.

She's cute though.  I'd offer her a position on my staff.

What happened to dress professionally. I interviewed at Mcdonalds as a teen in a shirt and tie let alone a real job

the choice of colors was in poor choice. Red and black both invoke negative emotions. She should have gone with white or blue or even green.

I think they did the right thing. Her mind is full of victim hood garbage.

clue: dress professionally not casually to an interview. even if the office dresses casually. for an interview. You don't.

What a stupid woman.  From what I understand most tech related employers do a search on the internet to catch stupid shit like that rant and I imagine her job prospects are going to be pretty few now.

Possibly true.  My uncle does a lot of hiring for a large company and he states it is easy to determine who the ideologist with an attitude are and weed them out.  He stated no one really wants to work with people like that.

She's wearing formal attire compared to what most programmers usually wear.

I have a feeling based on her "rant" that it wasn't the outfit that cost her the job.

Where I work that would be fine for day to day, but we'd expect better for an interview.

I will take her comments at face value.  I don't see a problem with her attire.  She looks like all the geeky female computer nerds on those highly-realistic cop shows who look like they just came from the used clothing shop.  But that is presented as the cultural standard.

How is her dress not in line with programming?  I don't know anything about the biz, but is anything more than bizcaz necessary?

We do objectify women.  We do like sexy.  But we also draw some very arbitrary lines not to be crossed.  These lines are often indecipherable.

I don't see her rant as particularly feminist.  If I were her, I'd be pissed, too.

Honestly, if that is what she was wearing - and her story is accurate - then she SHOULD be angry.

My guess is that there's more to the story - probably her behavior during the interview, and not what she was wearing.

It looks pretty well put together and professional.

During interviewer training at the old Fortune 50 sized company I used to work for, we were told NOT to judge a canidate by what he was wearing,  as long as it met our business casual dresscode (which was very loose)   Judging could be construed as racist, sexist,  homophobic,  or even culturally insensitive.

She doesn't look like she's about to go clubbing, she looks like she's going to celebrate Samhain and commune with fox spirits before updating her livejournal as to how her Wiccan Coven has "sold out."

"I'm so angry I can't speak", yet she rambles on and on.  I think her response tells me more about why she might not have been hired than her dress.

Feminist or not, who cares what shes wearing? She's qualified (according to her and thats all we have to go on), dressed like any other geek chick, and went for a programming job, so its not she's going to have a lot of customer contact.

Maybe I'm missing something.

That cow isn't EVEN remotely attractive enough to have an attitude that bad.

Hopefully those words and that screenshot follow her name around for the rest of her career. What professional organization would want someone like that associated with their company?

Have fun sucking dick or flipping burgers for money, bitch, its all you'll get and its MORE than you deserve.

In and of itself, its not terrible, though a little much for an interview.

I'm guessing once she opened her mouth, the picture fell together in an unflattering fashion.

I don't see much wrong with her outfit either.  I'd wager you're correct, has to be more to the story.  Her rant might be garbage, but her outfit doesn't look bad and she's not unattractive either.
