I grew up in the Church and still visit occasionally.
Pretty much all Christians I know are super cool. Some of them don't like things that I like. Big fucking deal, doesn't make them bad. I watch porn more than I should. Doesn't make porn bad... Going to go watch more porn. |

I want to be a good Christian, I really do. This is something I struggle with daily. The exigency is exacerbated by the fact that I have an infant daughter and I want to raise her right. I was raised in a strict Christian homeschooled family and rebelled from my upbringing when I left the house at 17. I have been gradually trying to return to the faith (over a decade later), but honestly I have put a lot of distance between myself and the Lord. I have strong feeling concerning privacy, and the ideas of fellowship and proselytizing are one of my biggest hurdles in becoming a Christian again. I have many atheist and agnostic friends, and I can't imagine myself confronting them about their worldviews. I inherently believe my religious beliefs are my own, and I can't imagine sharing them (in the real-world) and attempting to sway others one way or another
I view pornography as a sin, but recognize it is common to use it as a means to an end. One's imagination can only get them so far. I am a sinner in more ways than one, and don't believe that focusing on one particular sin is beneficial in the over-all scheme of things. I need to reduce and eventually eliminate all sinful activity. Viewing pornography is no worse than pride, dishonesty, drunkenness, etc. Well this is probably my realest post in GD. Let me conclude with a FBHO, FUAROCK, get both, isolated incident, and I prefer BCM over Colt due to customer service, quality control, and the option of CHF barrels. |
