Palmetto State is seeing the light.  Needs to come down another $75 though.

http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/428/

AND

My Wal-Mart has Perfecta and ZQ1 7.62 x 51 at $6.94 for a box of 20.  Has anyone chrono'd or did a 100 yard test on these yet?

I'm going to WalMArt!

Yes, it's good stuff.  I pull the bullets and replace it with a 150 softpoint, accuracy is fine for  pigs and general plinking.

Can you take a good pic of the bar code on the back of the box of the ZQI 7.62k

(So I can print it, then scan it with the Walmart App, and check stock at my local stores)

Right before the scare they were offering  Independence IMI XM193 for $6.19 / 20 and AE for $6.99 then it shot up a buck a box.

I don't blame them because demand went through the roof.

It is a tax of 10c per unit of ammo.  Box or case.  It is how Tennessee funds the State Wildlife Agency.  Tennessee does not have an income tax.

What is the ammo fee on the receipt about and how did that happen in TN?  I saw the receipt and figured it was California.  Taxes and fees are how the liberals are going to start going after ammunition.

I just saw your other post.  Isn't there a federal tax on guns and ammo that is already supposed to go to state natural resource agencies?  Kentucky's Fish and Wildlife department is completely funded through licenses and those already existing taxes.  At least that is my understanding of it.

The Walmart App needs to be able to scan the barcode itself in order to check inventory.
for some reason, it won't accept the number.

I shot some of the ZQI .308 a few days ago, and it was 8.5 moa out of my rifle.  CAVIM shot it's usual mediocre 3 moa, and other loads were around 2 moa; so it isn't just a bad barrel.

Have read a lot of conflicting reviews on the stuff.  Dunno what's up with that.

I never thought 7.62x51 would be that cheap.

Here I have talked myself out of buying a scar 17 all due to the fact I wouldn't be able to afford ammo. Now walmart is selling it for cheaper than I buy 5.56
