Another unwanted pet was dumped in front of the house.

He is very tame and friendly.  He comes right up and lets you pet him.  He is obviously someone's former pet.  Well-fed, no apparent mange.  Looks pretty young, going by the teeth.

If anyone wants him, let me know by IM.   I can't keep him.  I've already got one.

You got notifications when people mention your name fluffy, or do you just search until you see your name in search . Hopefully that dog can find a good home, sadly I have 3 dogs and a almost 2 year old, so I can't take him in .

If I could I would pay his airfare to Washington.   But I will pledge 100 bucks towards his flight.

( I can't do what I did last year as the Canadian dollar has dropped by twenty percent.  The drop is oil prices is also killing me)

That's what you said last time

Good luck, though.  People are can be such assholes.

I hope that you can hold onto him until a good family is found.

See if there are any no-kill pet rescues nearby that can help.

I can't tell what breed it is but checking by breed may help find a good foster home.

3-4 hours from Houston, depending on which part.

About 6 hours from DFW.

Someone coming from DFW, I'd be willing to meet them in San Antonio or a little north like Spring Branch or Bulverde.

Here's what needs to be done:

We have to get him to a vet so that he can get a health certificate.  Then we need a dog crate and then we have to put him on a plane to Seattle.

The airline to use is Delta.

The whole caper will cost around $700.   And I am in for $100

I need six guys to step forward and pledge 100 bucks.

Delta has a direct flight from Houston to Seattle.   Except for the money, this will be easy

You are a good man.  But let's try to get someone a little more local before we break the bank.

Surely there's someone in Texas willing to take him.

We'll keep the flying him across country as a last resort.

Yes, I will keep him for a little while.  I don't think he'll be going anywhere with Dug, free food, and occasional petting.

I used to kill strays but I just don't have the heart to do it anymore.  Especially friendly, tame ones.

Checking for a chip would be useful in case he got loose.   He could have lost his collar.

My guess is he's around 50 pounds.  He's about the same size as Dug, but a bit lankier.  Dug weighs 55 pounds.

Experience.

It's possible he is someone's pet that escaped, but I've never seen him before and he doesn't have a collar.

Will check with the vet on Monday.

Just don't let the lack of a collar mislead you.   They can get caught on a fence or other object and come off.
