Test drove the F-150 Lariat /FX4. Nice truck! I will not be buying it. I am anxiously a Platinum with all the bells and whistles. The dealer said in a week or two they should be able to get me one.

View Quote Local dealer has 2 platinum's, I was afraid to see what the sticker price was I did look at a XLT FX4, 46k I have a 2014 XLT, and I'm perfectly happy with it for another 5 years at least, then maybe I'll think about it, by that time the aluminum body thing should be worked out. |

3.5 ECO-BOOST. I have had 2 so far and in my opinion they rock! Price should be around 60,000 out the door.

Fuck me running... 60k for a GD F150 is stupid.
Guess I'll be rocking my V8 ranger for another 5 to 10 years. |

Super Duty is too big a truck for my purposes. The F-150 Crew Cab short bed is perfect for my needs.

If there are any 2014's left on the lot, the dealer should be willing and able to knock an easy 10 to 12 thousand off the sticker price.
just running the math: $42,000 out the door over 60 payments comes out to a $700 per month payment. But a $30,000 OTD price comes out to $500 a month. I find the the 500 dollar one easier to swallow. $700 a month starts creeping up on my actual house payment amount which makes me |

Buy it if you want it, that's what I say.
I would love a new truck. Can't swing it though, i don't even know what I would buy. |

I would love a brand new F-150 EcoBoost.
But I bought a brand new F-150 FX4 Off Road in 2002 (actually 2001) and as of today it only has 31K miles on it.... It has never given me a bit of trouble and I just can't justify selling it or trading it for a new one! |
|
Boy that is expensive.
Even using Truecar.com I can price a 4x4 extended cab 2014 1500 or F150 or 2500 or F250 - at 35K or less with decent options. 60K is madness! |

I have one custom ordered, so far have the VIN assigned and a projected build date of 2/16/15. XLT with the 2.7 and the FX4 package and the 301A options (trying to upgrade to the 302A package, decided heated seats and sidebars were worth the $20 a month financing)... I wanted a family vehicle with more cargo capacity to let me do household shit like haul stuff to the dump or move furniture while still being capable of doing hobby shit like going out camping or hunting. My wife's grandfather is retired Ford so we used the Z-Plan, we're paying under 40k for ours, before trade in value for our Escape.
Pretty excited. |

I drove two generations of Expeditions as a commuter, and they were just KICK ASS vehicles, and I understand they share much in common with F pickups. I have nothing but fond memories. I'm in a fancy Infiniti AWD sedan now, but I would not hesitate to pull the trigger on a nice Ford truck or SUV. |

60k is just fucking retarded. Hell, my 2014 XLT supercab with a 5.0 stickered at 36k, if it wouldn't have been for the discounts that got it to 32k, and after taxes 35k, minus the $10,700 I got out of the insurance for my totaled ranger, I could have never swung what i got. Looks like when my new truck is ready to be traded, I'll have to buy used

60k was what I paid for my house in 84.
Will go to the Auto shls in Boston next month. Doubt I will see any trucks under 30k. |
