Where does it rank in terms of size/activity compared to other popular gun forums.

Fairly certain it's the largest.

Ranked 1,406 out of all websites in the U.S. Glocktalk is over a thousand behind.

I am pretty sure it is the biggest firearms site.

But overall, not that big on the list of 'biggest'.

I saw a list once and some weird Japanese anime or game sites are absolutely huge.

Think arfcom as Planet Earth, those sites the Milky Way galaxy.

For a general forum, and laughing at you fucking idiots yes it is the best. As far as technical, outside of the AR/AK, no.

For my C&R's, gunboards is top on that list.

I find this forum very open....

A lot of other forums are very restrictive in posting topics that don't relate to their name sake. Go over to HK and post something about nuclear engineering and locked. Go to THR and anything not firearm related is locked.

The GD style forums aren't as varied in terms of the cross section of society in America. Here you have folks from all over. From fry cooks and neckbeards to 4 Star Generals and TV Hosts.

Lastly, for all the bickering that goes one when there is a cause, Arfcom comes to the rescue. We help members a lot through some very charitable actions.
