10 years at my job and no Christmas bonus. Not even a one year subscription to the Jelly of the Month Club.
I planned on giving out bonuses, but we haven't got paid in over a month, which makes it pretty hard to do
we get a 5-8% bonus every year
then they tax the bastard 33% |
Nope.
My Boss is a heartless dick. Probably will have me work on Christmas just because he can. |
I got a mail order sour creme cake that would make an awesome door stop.
It's already in the garbage. |
I've never gotten one in my life. Small companies, big companies, never.
I'm unemployed.
ETA the last time I got a holiday season bonus was about 1987. |
Got $100 gift card to Amazon from my company, and then a 20 pound turkey from the company I'm contracted out to.
Hey, free shit that no one was obligated to give me, I'm not complaining. |
31 years at the same job, never got a Christmas bonus. I retired at 51 though. So every day at the range is my bonus.
LOL...what bonus?
Last year, our Christmas Bonus checks were here...in the fucking building...but the General Manager sent them back, had them cancelled and used the money to make our bottom line look better so he'd get a bigger bonus. To call this guy a cocksucker would be an insult to honest cocksuckers everywhere else. |
Salaried....got three salary raises this year though plus two small merit bonuses. I am lucky.
We don't get Christmas bonuses at my employer, but we do get quarterly bonuses. A couple quarters ago the bonus was crap. The last quarter was actually pretty nice.
I'm 10 years in the workforce with the same company and have had multiple jobs with them and never once have we ever gotten a bonus. They put a bonus plan in last year but the formula ti figure it was like a quadratic equation. Needless to say no one got one.
Things were a little tight this year. I cancelled the Christmas bonuses, and gave all my employees a year's subscription to the Jelly-of-the-month club.
I never expect one.
Last couple of years have been very generous, this year I know things are tight for the owners of the company so I don't expect one. Co-workers are wailing and crying that they spent an amount equal to last years bonus (on credit) on Christmas in anticipation of getting what they got last year. ETA: Christmas bonus money = my annual guns and ammo budget. |
I've never recieved a Christmas bonus. Actually they want to cut our overtime starting after the first.
Bone-This is more like it. |
As a contractor I never did.
Now that I'm a company employee I'll be getting a bonus in the 5 figure range. I really needed this. |
I issued Christmas bonuses last night to my employees at our Christmas dinner. After reading a thread about Christmas bonuses, I decided to pay CASH this year vs. a check. Not sure why it matters, but supposedly an envelope stuffed with hundred dollar bills means more than a check in the same amount.
I pay these bonuses because my company is only as good as my people. |
We get bonuses in the first or second quarter, rather than at Christmas.

I was surprised this year. I got a few raises, and small bonuses.
What really surprised me is the Christmas bonus. I got a two weeks pay and an additional cash bonus coming before Christmas pay. I am blessed, honored and floored. I was just happy to have a job that fed the wife and kid. Before this year I got 150$ before Christmas pay week and I was ecstatic to get that. I guess my 7 years are finally paying off. I almost changed jobs in August. Edit: I forgot getting off Wed-Fri next week. Also getting Wed and Thursday of next week off. That is a bigger bonus, spending time with my little girl. |

Quoted: Same here. WTH is a Christmas bonus? I'm just glad they didn't lay more people off at this terribly run giant company I work for. Yeah. Going to close my office and take 4 1/2 days off. For Christmas AND New Year's.

$1739.10 after taxes and 401k withdrawn.
Also received a Honey-Bake Ham gift card for $80. The money will be used up in the next few days as I have a diseased big tree that has to come down in the front yard and two huge oak trees in the back yard that needs heavy pruning. I am fortunate to be working for a company that did extremely well in 2014. |
Nope, not a dime.
My wife's company had record profits this year and so far she hasn't heard whether this year they'll issue a bonus. General Motors plant down the street just laid off 450 employees a few weeks ago though so in my area of the country you've got to be happy to just be getting a pay check. It's ridiculous and it leads to a lot of stressed out folks to have such a horrible job market out there right now. It's also lead to frankly a lot of abuses of employees that wouldn't be happening if the job market here was better. |

Worked for Chase bank one year. Got a ten dollar wal mart gift card as a a christmas bonus. Jamie Dimon the CEO got like 50 mil for his bonus.
Worked for a welding company, owner buys himself and wife over 100k in new cars, 2 high end mercedes. Bonuses were canceled that year due to low sales because of the economy. Whatevs. Now Im self employed and get bonuses all year long. |

Ahhh, the mythical christmas bonus. Like finding a unicorn or the pot-o-gold at the end of every rainbow.

Yah I still love her though.

Dunno. I get a year end bonus that shows up in March. I'm not sure this year, but it's probable.

10% of salary, which is a pretty decent amount of money for most folks. |
