Today I ventured out of my Moms basement and took her to the gun show. When she asked what kind of stuff would be there I said "well I know there will be Nazi shit and jerky, maybe some guns".
But I got to thinking. Why is there always a Nazi booth? Like at every fucking show. Is that their business or do they just have Nazi gear stacked deep? Enlighten me GD |

because only white supremacist goes to those shows or really fat people with BO

It's for "history buffs" who play dress up with their friend so we "don't forget" |

Its just militaria. People collect it. And the army wasnt a bunch of nazis, some of the leaders were. They had a great army with very poor leadership. The stuff looks cool and only has the nazi stigma attached because of Hitler and his gang, not because of the common soldiers.

The "War Relics" booth that only sells Nazi goods and other historical items like photocopied pictures of hitler is a staple at the local gunshow in my area.

WWII for many people is one of the most fascinating times in US history, and the Nazi's are one of the most fascinating groups of the time. What WWII historian wouldn't want memorabilia from each faction? The Nazi's are the only group that did horrible things, but I don't see anyone complaining about Japanese, Russian or Chinese memorabilia.

Say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude; at least it's an ethos.

I've seen neither a nazi booth nor a fleshlight booth.
I need to start paying attention. |

I suspect your mother might secretly be an 88'r and already knew about the booths.
She just pretended to be interested in the jerky and neck beards with BO. You know what to do OP.

I was the NRA recruiter for 10 years at my local gun show. 4 Times a year. At the end there was only one guy left, who was a jew. Had everything under the sun, knives, arm bands, hats, uniforms, boots, belts, pins, medals. Printed propaganda. his selling point was "never forget" He made good dime on it....

Because believe it or not, there really are neo-Nazi types who are into guns. They are on the far fringes, and are a very small minority, but they're pretty good at organizing to fuck with people who piss them off. Someone who runs a gun show is risking a boycott by telling them they aren't welcome.
Just to be clear, I'm talking about the people who sell new-manufacture Nazi propaganda posters, swastika flags and copies of "The Turner Diaries," not the folks who just have genuine WW2 era German military gear. |

I'll skip the gun show Nazi booth. That said, high level collector stuff is damn interesting. Anybody have an idea on what the large eagle in the case is from? It looks authentic judging by the tarnish. Just some random piece? |

Ted is a wealthy collector of militaria. Because of the slightly strange Kiwi gun laws, he has (had) quite the collection of arms. His man cave is full of museum grade stuff. |

You talking about the historical Nazi booth or the Neo Nazi booth?
One time I saw a Neo Nazi booth. They were selling Prussian Blue cds. Thankfully I went with my white friend. Might have been interdasting if I went with my Black Friend. lol. Talked with them briefly. |

Also, it's not just the gun culture that has a fascination with Nazis. There are still films being made about them, Inglorious Basterds and Valkyrie, for example. I got Valkyrie on my DVR, I'm gonna watch it tonight and root for the Krauts! BTW, is Inglorious Basterds worth watching? |

Two words. Hugo Boss.
That shit is designed right. I love watching movies like Valkrye to see the insignias and ranks. Not every soldier was Nazi or SS. Very stately and official looking unis. I like seeing the flaming bomb on my bayos and Carbine and their swastika was just a symbol. Do I have any? No. But I have USGI stuff. Do like the look, though. |

I have a lot of Nazi shit but I didn't buy any of it at a gun show. It's all for reenacting.

I have a masuer
I want an MP44 that's about as far as it goes for me |

I have been keeping my eyes out for a death's head ring... easily counterfeited though.
Pretty much, just morbid curiosity.

Never got into the shit myself, I usually stroll on by without a second glance.
