Of just those two, the M&P. But honestly I personally would not want either.

The Kimber you will just shoot
The M&P you will enjoy the hobby of replacing half of it just to make it feel like you're shooting a Kimber (and I'd buy the M&P) |

What's happening in the new year in CA? More guns added to the ban list?

my 2005 warrior runs great.
Buy the M&P though. I have 3 M&Ps and honestly prefer them |

I had a Warrior, the thing was rock solid. Never missed a beat through thousands of rounds of all different types of ammo. Very accurate too, mine was a better shooter than I was.
The only complaint was the factory finish started to wear very quickly. I never carried it, and it was never in a holster, but after a year it looked like I'd carried it quite a bit. I've heard that was a common problem with the black Warriors, don't know if that same problem applies to the FDE on the Desert Warrior. Other than that the gun was great, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. |

Soon you won't even have to lock your doors any more. |

Don't buy a Kimber expecting a "Custom Shop" gun. How the hell they've made it this far without getting a consumer protection false advertising lawsuit it beyond my comprehension.
YMMV of course, and whatever works for you...but my Kimber Raptor II was one of the biggest disappointments of my life. Glad they took it back in trade. |

Interesting. I was looking at the VTAC this morning and was considering it against the g19. This post is relevant to my interests .

The Desert Warrior works great once you throw in some mags from Wilson Combat.

My Kimber Desert Warrior is a finicky piece. Out of the 5 Kimbers I've owned, my Desert Warrior was the only reliable one. I guess that is proof of their QC though. I had a Eclipse Target II which would FTF because it had a target chamber and wouldn't feed all ammo. I picked up the Warrior II next at the recommendation of the Kimber tech guy, he said the Warrior had a slightly larger chamber to feed reliably. |

Good man Rip - I think I like you....

I'm having the same argument with myself over these same two guns. Kind of leaning towards the M&P.
|
|
put of the two, get the S&W As a former Kimber owner, I will never own another. You could give me one for free and I wouldn't take it Kimber and their so called worthless customer service sucks donkey balls |
|
If you gave me a kimber I would sell it to buy, well, anything else.

Smith, hands down.
Fuck Kimber, their spotty quality, and shitty CS.
|
|
no issues yet with my Eclipse Target II. It's got some aftermarket though, right out of the box.
If you already have one of these, albeit a different color, I guess I'd be looking at what Ammo I have more of, and what balance I'm shooting for 9MM vs. .45 as far as number of guns that will fire each. |
|
Leaning towards the Warrior, as I already have one in black and have had zero malfunctions over the past 6 years. I've kinda always wanted the desert version...
I've also just started shooting 9mm and dig the M&P FDE.... I know both will be reliable |
|
CZ SP-01
But the two, the M&P. There are better 1911's out there for the same money than that Kimber. There really isn't a better McPistol out there for the same money as the VTAC Smith. |
