Anyone updated yet?

My mother did with her iphone 4s ..... crash. My son did with his 5s and now he's complaining about the molasses-like speed.
Yep phone and iPad. No problems. Glad to have camera roll back
Works fine for me.
I wanted to try out apple pay but they don't support Harris Bank or my cabela's credit card yet. |
Glad to see people having good luck with ios8. I have had lots of problems on our iPads and phones (5s). Mostly gray screening and rally really slow and Vicky execution on apps. Safari is the worst.
Runs a mite slow on my long in the tooth ipad 2 but runs like a champ on my iPhone 5c
8.0.1 would not let me post on this forum. Downloaded, but had not finished installing 8.0.2 yet. Will probably do 8.1 latter today
I did the 8.0.2 for ipad and it sucks. Copy/paste only works sometime, slow as hell too.
Downloading it now, for an iPad 3. I'll do my iPhone 5s later.
Hopefully, this fixes an annoying problem with Safari and my needing to constantly refresh pages when returning from another app (or tab). For whatever reason, it happens most on arfcom, too. |
My iPad2 safari doesn't load websites anymore, rebooting again to see if it helps.
got my capital one credit card all setup for Apple Pay. Not sure when I will use it.

Slow as fuck and constant crashes. iPad 2.
May fuck be upon it. |
No issues here.
The whole "Continuity" thing was a big cocktease. My Macbook isn't supported since I don't have Bluetooth 4.0 LE or some such. I was looking forward to the text/call integration with Messages. |
Yes, 8.0.2 on me and my wife's iPhone 5C phones. No problems and we've been running it a few weeks now.
ETA: Downloading 8.1 right now. Upgraded to OS 10.10 on MacBook Air on Saturday. No problems with that either. |

There have been lots of warnings out there that the iPad 2 can barely handle IOS8. I have an iPad 2, and I'm still running the last iteration of IOS7. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Updated 2 iPhone 6, an iPad mini, and an iPad 2. No issues. Got a few other iDevices to update now . . .. |

Any speed boosts for the iphone 4S? 8.0 murdered my phone into a brick.
Updated my 5 and Ipad4 earlier, no issues. Can't tell any difference.

My iPad Mini has slowed down a bit from 8.0, 8.1 fixed this to an extent.
My iPhone 5s is 8.1 and runs just fine. The iPad Mini is older tech, so that may be part of why... my wife's iPad Air runs just fine with 8.1 as well. |

So it's not just me? Its fucking horrible. Fuck you apple! I updated my ipad 2 to the new IOS 8 but won't to my phone because of how much it sucks. I might as well do this update to my ipad because it is already fucked… It's amazing how fast they went to shit once Jobs died |

Anyone updated yet? View Quote Updated my Ipad to 8.1.2 or whatever it is. It's slower than shit, you can't select text, it's shitty, things don't work right, and it seems to have made the internet slower too somehow. I have two Ipads, and my wife's is IDENTICAL to mine. Her's runs like a raped grape ape, mine is fucked up like a soup sandwich. |

LOL at all the people that are using a device that was released during IOS4, and expecting it to still be fast 4 versions of the OS later. It's like expecting a Windows XP machine to run just as quickly with Windows 8.
Don't just blindly update your OS, people. Hang back and read some reviews first. It only took a few hours from the release of IOS8 to reveal that it absolutely sucked with iPad 2 and iPhone 4 devices. |
2 for 2 and doing Yosemite now so I can have SMS across the board.

I have a test Thursday, and my ipad is required.
I'm not updating a damn thing. |

great for me on a 6plus...it fixed the super annoying bug where I couldn't search in messages. I got it set up on my mac to SMS text and it works great.

You have to go on the settings>messages>SMS forwarding on your phone, and then a code should pop up in the Messages app on your Mac. Type that code into your phone, and it should work from then on. |
