I found this while mowing a lady's lawn a while back (I asked, she didn't want it,) and I find myself entirely puzzled as to its purpose and intended function. The item was heavily rusted; I cleaned it up with a HCL dip and gave it a coat of oil. Shown with a US quarter for scale (quarter is 24.2mm in diameter, for those that might not be familiar with them.)

Maybe, does/did the place have a wrought iron fence at some point. Could be a decorative spire tip to a fence post/slat

At first I thought it was a left-handed henway, but then I saw that slot in the flat end, so obviously it's a dikfer.

It's a removable pole step. It fits onto spikes driven into utility poles allowing a lineman or phone tech to climb high enough to step onto the steps that are permanently driven into the pole. Being able to remove the lower steps helps keep unauthorized people off the pole.

Pole step seems likely, though I haven't been able to verify for certain.

Here is a newer version;

In any case, this will likely be re-purposed for melting/molding metal (I like to melt stuff,) or as the world's most inefficient cornbread pan
