Headed to work today, driving through farm country. I see what looks like a SWAT team gearing up for a raid on a local farm stand. Traffic was being redirected by a sheriff deputy. I asked him what was up. He said local farmer want paying taxes on his sales and was selling raw milk.
The USDA SWAT team was armed like Navy SEALS and arrived in an MRAP. |

Wouldn't surprise me in the least. Remember, "It's for our safety".....

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Move along citizen...
The federal overlords are here to protect you.. |

Well if he payed his taxes and didn't sell unpasteurized milk there wouldn't be an issue. Just sayin'

If he was selling Raw milk in state what business is that of the USDA? Should be a state enforcement issue.

No fun if the USDA can't join in on busting down doors and flash-banging children.
When can we expect the USPS to get in on the action? "Here comes your mail.... FRAG OUT!" |

I'm not sure what other enumerated power could even remotely be applied to these raids? |

Based on USDA logic, all breast feeding mothers and mammals should be arrested for Raw Milk violations.

Absolute silliness, absurd that the Federal government has money to participate in operations such as these.

Years and years ago the Supreme Court ruled that wheat grown on a mans farm and fed to his animal was interstate commerce because if affected the market because he wasn't buying wheat. |
