What combination represents the best chance for 2016?  Right now I'm thinking, a diverse ethnic background team like the following,

Mike Huckabee (or Rand Paul) for President and Marco Rubio (or Jeb Bush) for Vice President, or vice versa (POTUS / VP)  ??

Marco Rubio
Rand Paul
Ted Cruz
Paul Ryan
Jeb Bush
Mike Huckabee
Rick Santorum
Chris Christie
Scott Walker
Rick Perry
Herman Cain
Newt Gingrich
Mitt Romney
Condoleezza Rice

Why do people worry about 2016 now?   Concentrate on November 2014 and winning the Senate.

Also consider a national campaign to defeat Boehner.  For that one seat I would vote for the Democrat.

Romney.

It took Nixon 3 times too. Opened up China. Created massive Economic expansion.

Romney is who we need even if it is not who we want.

Without economic freedom the rest doesn't matter.

In PA, some judges run as both republicans and democrats (name's listed twice on the ballot) so if we could get whomever wins the democrat primary to agree to that, republicans could win the presidency  in 2016

As of now I stand with Rand. I think Jeb would hurt his run.

Paul Ryan is too much like the cookie cutter big oil company republican you hear so much about and his lost VP run will hurt him.

Scott Walker has done a lot for our state, and appeals to the Republicans. I think his tactics are what we need, but I agree with most of them. He would win my vote in this state again, but I don't think he is ready for presidency.

Marco Rubio is my second choice I would think.

It would be good for Rice to run as a VP I think.

Condi Rice with the "Cruz Missile" or Rand Paul.

Condi is a very Pro-2nd Amendment woman who is also colored. Having her for President would be a HUGE middle finger to the Democrats.

I got to hear both Gov. Bobby Jindal and Dr. Ben Carson last Friday night and both impressed me. Might need a minority to shake up the Republican image of old, white guys. And with Jindal, we have a man with executive experience and is very smart.

The same kind of middle finger as when Alan Keyes and Herman Cain ran? They both got torn apart  by the Dems and the media. There is no safe color as a conservative.

I think that Rick Perry is picking up steam.  He'd do well with woman voters; he looks presidential...

Ben Carson seems like a smart man, but I don't think that he would do well with black voters.  They probably see him as an Uncle Tom.

Getting Condi on the ticket as VP would probably be a good move, IMO.  Obviously (unfortunately), her being black and a woman matter when it comes to votes, but she has the resume and is extremely intelligent.

"Best chance?"  LOL  How about most likely?

Republicans like nominating those who (1) paid their dues aka also rans and (2) brand names.  Given that: the most likely are Jeb Bush, Ryan, Perry, Santorum, and Huckabee.  If Romney wants it, he'll have the inside track.

Ted Cruz is actually not electable, aside from saying the right thing to make conservatives (myself included) cheer for him. His wife will be dragged through the mud, big time.

Rand Paul has to be on the ticket. Young, weed loving, would be socialists confuse him for his father and support him because they think he'll legalize it, and Libertarians will champion him. Even if he doesn't win, he'll be good for the future of the party to get young people interested.

I'd like Rick Perry at the top of the ticket, although I'm not sure that he could pull it off. You would think it would be an easy win as long as you're strongly against FBH0care and promise to give back some personal liberty, maybe dismantle the NSA or something.

Rand Paul does not favor legalization. First answer

Perry would be more impressive as a candidate if he didn't prep for debates by doing shots of Nyquil. I'm also not convinced someone who got his ass handed to him by that detestable cyborg Mittens Romneytron would be able to win a general. And given his whole tuition for illegals thing (which he may or may not have backpedaled on at this point) strikes me as very wrongheaded.

Condi's the only one I might think about, and I don't think she wants to run.  The GOP needs to just get the rest of that deadwood out of the running.
