just saw 'Purge 2: Anarachy'.. laughed the whole time... it's exactly what you'd except for the most part, not a great movie at all but entertaining..
got me to thinking if it was a real thing, would i partake in purging??? not sure if i could even though it sounds like fun... what about you??? |
Police would just continue to do their jobs and not get paid for it. I imagine military guys would form militias to protect neighborhoods and stuff. The only place that The Purge could happen is in ghetto areas where it essentially already takes place.
would be a nice way to cross names off of that list that i keep in my pocket
I couldn't purge and hurt innocent people but defending from the purge sounds like fun.
I would purge anything that stepped on my lawn during bunker-mode.
Im thinking most purges would be domestic purges anyhow. "Bitch, you gotta die tonight!" |

"its our right to Purge"
I would just sit on my roof behind some sandbags with plenty of Copenhagen and a thermos of coffee and shoot anything that came within 100m of my house. So it would pretty much be like sitting on post in Afghan. |

I absolutely would...
But I'd try to figure out how to do it with as little risk to my personal safety as possible. Oh, and... This thread needs a Poll! |
I heard the movie makes a lot of fun of conservatives...is that true?

It sort of goes against my Christian values so I would say..................no. I will add that any fool that gets within my comfort zone on my property would be rendered horizontal very quickly.

Movie started out "OK", but then it turned obnoxious when they started beating you over the head with the whole Rich/Poor dichotomy thing. If you want that in the movie then at least make it subtle and keep the focus on the story of the individual characters. They got absolutely ridiculous with it, and it killed what little bit the movie did have going for it.

No, I would not "Purge".

In a completely hypothetical scenario, I would purge: bullies, wife beaters, pedophiles, rapists, lawyers, politicians, crooked cops, and all post-1995-or-so country music artists.

Its always been around in popular media, I guess, but it just seems like they are beating people over the head with it now. Can I just sit down and watch a cool movie or a TV show without being bludgeoned by ham-fisted propaganda? |

Truth. But there are plenty of people who aren't innocent. I wouldn't mind giving this guy's worshipers a culling. http://theindianeconomist.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/239584628_KarlMarxQuote_DialecticalPhilosophy_xlarge-255x300.png View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I could picture entire communities fortifying like the Korean communities during the Watts riots.

Perhaps a step further and be that guy that owns a GAU-17 |

I'd either be in bunker mode, or better yet that weekend would be a vacation abroad somewhere.

Would I go out and be on the offensive? No
Would I protect my family and property from anyone who came anywhere near it? Yes |

It also means anyone they want to arrest could fight back without legal repercussions. Now if you mean they will hunt down criminals, then sure. But that's a 2 way street. I would think most would stick with protecting themselves and their families. I could see this. Also, I don't see people sticking to the time frame. People would start before the official start time and I don't see it ending immediately when it should. 12hrs of legal lawlessness would spin out of control. Also, the first movie was retarded. After watching shit decision after shit decision in addition to the annoying characters I was hoping a rogue AF pilot would drop a jdam on that fucking house. |

You do realize that the rules of the purge say high level government officials are off limits right?
Very well, I am now provisioning for a belt fed. Screw that belt fed AR stuff, I want nothing less than a 240.
