The opposite of this thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1646957_Purchases_that_improved_your_life.html

What have you removed from your life that has thus made it better?

Booze and fast food.

I still will have a beer at a barbecue or something but I no longer just "have a drink" on my off hours. I was using it as a coping mechanism / crutch and eliminating it has improved my mood greatly.

As for fast food I used to eat it often... not every day but a few times a week. Since I stopped I'm back to my lean weight and I don't miss it at all. In fact when I have to eat it now (grabbing something on the road, etc.) it actually tastes kind of shitty and makes me feel like crap.

11 years ago i decided that alcohol was more of a nuisance, than help. Like cigarettes i could pick one up have it, then walk away. However it's easier not bothering with it.

I am 27, and it is not funny to see people that you hung out with for years never get past being 20...and still give you shit and don't understand that your life is centered around things like work and school...and that you can't kick it all the time and sleep in until noon every day.

Best thing I got rid of was almost all of my friends, if you can even call them that. I no longer have to listen to a over 40 dunk call me every night at 3 am crying telling me how lonely he is since his wife divorced him. Also got rid of my female friends, if I am not fucking them whats the point of having to listen to them? Now my phone hardly ever rings and when it does there is not a loser on the other end.
