Are you going to post immediately to social media so everyone knows you spent way too much on very little food?
Or did this post cover that? |

My bride and I are on our honeymoon in Napa. Been trying to get reservations at The French Laundry for months but they were all booked up. I got the call 2 hours ago saying there was a cancellation and did we want a table tonight at 8pm. Let me think....sure. I know the rules. Pics will be be posted soon. Ask away.... View Quote Enjoy the experience & the area - lots to see & do in Napa & Sonoma counties. |

It was showing a pizza place that had a pizza that cost over a grand. I forget what all came on it, but I believe caviar was one of the toppings, and it got brought to the table by the owner himself and whatnot. |

When el bulli closed is was ~$320 per person.
And it was regarded as one of if not the best restaurant in the world... |

Nice.
It's on the bucket list along with MASA in NYC. Both should be checked off next year. |

Don't let her sit on the washer during the spin cycle. She may decide you can be replaced.

If you haven't been to Hope & Grace's tasting room just down the street, do so and ask for their Malbec! Or up the block to Jess up Cellars for their chocolate Zinfandel sauce.
As to the dining, my condolences... Been there done that! |
|
OP - enjoy! Getting a table there is a big frickin' deal for a reason; I'm sure you'll have a wonderful evening.

My anniversary dinner there two years ago ran almost $900 for the two of us. That's after the meal, drinks, wine and a tip. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

$300 a person, damn. While I could afford to eat at a place like that, I couldn't enjoy myself knowing I was dropping a grand on food. I am not hating or in the least bit disparaging your decision to eat there, I just couldn't enjoy it. |

No questions, just enjoy! I was able to get a reservation last fall, it was a good experience.

No Questions here. Enjoy the experience.
She will NEVER forget this. YOU can profit from that. Congratulations on getting Married |

When they set your plate down, ask your waiter if you can get some tobasco sauce.

It would also be fun to ask for some steak sauce.
"Thanks buddy, can I get some A1 to put on that?" |

Take a picture of the main course plate so that I might laugh at the pitiful portions

I had no idea what the French Laundry was.
I thought it was a euphemism for a competitor of The Pink Lady in ciudad Juarez. But I wouldn't know that, because Juarez is off limits. |
|
I'm more interested in seeing if OP says it was worth it afterwards.
I've looked at one of their cookbooks before, they do put a fuckload of work into their dishes. |
