I will be listening to the livestream and posting updates as it goes on.
Unfortunately this bill is in the House "kill committee". Our fellow ARFcommer, reptar_head, is in Denver at the House for the hearing. ETA: Wiped out the links to the listening to preserve the fidelity of the stream. |

Good luck. Awesome that you guys even have it up for consideration.

Best of luck to you folks in CO. Damned polichickens are worse than a pitbull when it comes to giving up something they already have on the books..Might help to remind them how recalls work.
|

It's time for them to recall what happened the last time they tried to screw over Coloradoans...Colora...Yhea I'm going with Coloradoans, anyway, IIRC last time they did it it didn't work out too well for the people who got totally recalled.

Here's to hoping your state reps listen to their constituents and get this straightened out.

Coloradan. Fine, Coloradan. Anyway my main point is SMASH THE SYSTEM! Seriously though, I'm rooting for you guys! |

The is also going to be a committee hearing on the Senate version of the bill (it's the same bill) on Wednesday at 1:30 PM. I plan on attending and saying a few words. There are enough sponsors in the Senate (1 D came over) for the bill to pass there IF the bill makes it out of committee.

No audio stream up yet. At least not that I can find. Whoever designed this website was...not skilled with user-friendly web design, to say the least.

No I'm sure that's not it... |

Oh, isn't that just like the government? It's starting - 33 minutes late.

First bill up in the committee is not the bill to repeal the mag ban.
|

Hope this works to show the the people will be heard! Crossing fingers that they do the right thing...

Proponents and opponents will take turns speaking to the bill.

Why do this now, is there a chance Higgenlooper or what ever the governor's name will sign it?

Public testimony set to 3 minutes per.
Again. Interesting. They used this tactic last year. |

Wait wait wait...
Did I just hear that bitch say 'Please feel free to lie to tell us how you feel about this bill'???? |

"None of you are under oath, so you may say stuff that you believe might not be factual"

"HB1151 proposes to repeal what is commonly known in Colorado as the mag ban."

"One of the problems I have is what seems to be an arbitrary number of 15 rounds."
He just called them modern sporting rifles!!! Way to go, Holbert! |

"Did the legislature actually understand what it was regulating? That question remains today."

I sure hope he uses arguments that explain just how poorly the bill is written (i.e. it bans ALL magazines with a floor plate) vs the 2A part that will go over the liberals' heads anyways.

I want names....take down their names....so we remember in Nov. |

"My friends and I, people who are avid shooters. We already have those. And I suppose we're thankful that government isn't seeking to take those away from us. But what public safety is there when there are tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of those already in public hands?"

Good luck.... Here's hoping for a good outcome and moving forward!!
