Is it possible they suspect your neighbor of breaking a law? Perhaps even related to illegal narcotics?
|

Probably had forget to refill a prescription. DEA was dropping it off.
ETA: No victim no crime. Go outside and tell them to bugger off if no one is hurt. |
|
They probably misread the address on the warrant. They'll be knocking onkicking down your door in the morning.

Earlier this year a house across from my job was hit by the locals and the FBI. Turns out he was really into child porn.

Obviously, selling tickets to the Policeman's Benevolent Fund Ball.

Sneak up behind them and tap them on the shoulder....while wearing a mask....they love that.

Funny thing is, wife and I made a full price offer on that house in May, they current occupants made a much larger offer, and bought the house from under us. Hmm.
Not jealous as we bought our dream home in the same neighborhood but it was kind of sweet to hear about this, just a little bit. |

That's nothing.
I was running at the university track one day when I was in school (back in late '80s or early '90s or thereabouts). About a mile a way I noticed a Crashawk helo show up and orbit some spot about a mile up the road. About the same time, a convoy of marked and unmarked vehicles passed by on the road adjacent to the track and sports complex-maybe twenty in all-headed towards the direction of the helo. Turns out, someone reported a body disposed of in a well on the property of a farm where a meth lab was suspected. They found the meth lab, but no body in the water well. Family farm was "repurposed" once the old folks passed on and their yutes weren't interested in farming anymore.... Local, State, and federal LEO-to include a mulit-jurisdictional task force from city and county LE agencies in a couple of counties in the area. It was quite a theatrical presentation for a town that boasts a population of only 12,000 or so people. About 20 miles south in a town called Elida, low-flying aircraft were known to drop bags of product from 500 and below at night. "No Country For Old Men" wasn't far off in either plot or principle. Small towns in rural NM are rife with that kind of thing. Border states. |

View Quote I would think DEA involvement could only signal one thing (as opposed to "we're here just in case you find something of interest to us"), which might explain why they were able to out-bid you. Wife used to manage rentals out here for a property management company. One of the homes she managed ended up getting raided for meth. Occupants were arrested and sent away. Kids went to relatives or foster care. House was condemned and demolished. |

And his friends always came to visit him in very similar rides, even saw the occasional classic car with big rims. Funny thing is, I rarely saw the same cars there and he sure did have A lot of friends? |

I don't know what's going on either but I wanted to say that Somalia is beautiful this time of year! |

This sounds interesting. Also, I think it's totally reasonable for you to walk up to ask once people are past the "lets do stuff" phase and moves into the "lets stand around and BS while we can get OT" phase.

Not sure where you are in GA (which county) but troopers being there tells me it was based on some type of interdiction information. Best educated guess I have would be a stash house. Generally speaking, GSP + DEA = Interdiction
