Give it a shot for awhile, see how it goes. Should just give you a soothing relaxation, not put you on your butt. The sleep med should do that

I need to know what meds and dosage.  They can be different depnding on stuff like acidophilia or watersoluble  vs lipid saluble.

Or you can go low tech and turn off oven and bbq and kick your shoes off, grab snuggle blanket and just be ready for the party.

Alprazolam or xanex is a fast acting benzodiazepine,  it will have peak in an hour and half. Onset of effects is within 30-45 mins, kitty was dang close.  You will feel it fast.  Its broken down hepatically so no ETOH, it can cause shock or fatty liver.

If he has xanax it's almost certainly .5mg dose....which is a pretty standard dose given to most folks, including my 100lb sister in law. But everybody can be affectedd differently, so you gotta start somewhere for safeties sake.

No he gave me the .5's to take.Just wasn't sure if I shouldn't take a half dose to start or stick with the full .5 because of my size.
Says it may be habit forming. I used to take it for restless legs.In hind site nerve damage years ago.
They found it during my sleep study.

I must have missed something escitalopram is Lexipro and is an SSRI,  this is different from alprazolam.

10 mg of lexipro is fine

10 mg of alprazolam or xanex not fine and is way too much.

You need to write these down on a paper.  One row per med. Nice and organized,  this is important buddy.

Im behind sorry

0.5 of xanex is ok, some use 0.25 for sleep, not sure thats going to cut it with you.

I took 2 mg once just to see and was drooling on the floor and scared the fuck out of everyone. yep that was stupid, very stupid. Needless to say I have not taken anymore, but still have it in the med bag..  Lol

Like I said for your size I think 0.5 is fine, take half if your really worried like kitty suggested.

It is very addictive so go slow, but does work well.

Simple, but it's the proof of what you have or have not done.

When he's on any kind of drug that affects his thinking, he forgets and he cheats. He gets up in the middle of the night and gets more.

We've learned this the hard way.

We write the time in that he took the meds.

Once he fills in one week, we draw a line, write "Drug 1, Drug 2, Drug 3 and Drug 4 again, and start over until he fills up a sheet. We can get a month on one page.

Yea for the chart do drug and dose vs time,  so do rows with medication name and dose and columns by time. Also stop using made up short names, that is dangerous.  People get written up for that in the hospital.

Btw that lexipro 10mg dose is once a day dose some take 20.  Also there is no problems with interactions as they are not p450 receptor inhibitors and thats a common combo actually.  Totally normal.

The only noted danger in my little pocket pharmacopia is the name is simular to others, and we already covered that. And addiction dangers

Are there anymore drugs?  I dont want to miss any, im sorry my girls are messing around and distracting me and the highschool across street has graduations ceremony outside and is actually loud.

We were taught about shock liver or fatty liver as the rich housewife disease.  Kids at school, eating Tylenol and xanex with "just on or two glasses of vino cant hurt anything" attitude

Yup very common.

Laymen terms, if drug is matabolized in liver, then dont mix with alcohol because it can swell up the hepatocytsles liver cells and cause acute liver failur. In a nutshell

Don't be reckless with these.

Write in the time you take it, and if you CHANGE the dose....make a little note under the day when you ddi that.

That way, if you have trouble, your doc will know what you did.

the MOST IMPORTANT THING is to be able to tell your doc what you did, and when you did it.

So if you start thinking you need to gather the troops to storm the Kremlin, your doc will be able to tell what mind-altering dose made you think that.

I have been on antidepressants for 20 years, off and on.  LET ME TELL YOU...they affect how you think.

Not just how you feel.

SO I don't care what your religion has been before.

NOW the best thing you can do is make your religion filling in that chart.

okay?

I like how K-W-S uses affect v. effect.  (Off topic, but still)

SEe my edit.

The Drug 1, drug 2, etc...are the actual names of the drugs...
Like "plavix" statin (that's the anti-cholesterol) zoloft, aspirin, niacin (that's a mineral he takes to help with cholesterol) etc.

and he writes in the actual TIME he takes it.

That's better than an X because it's harder to cheat.

It keeps you more honest.

I like this. For me it's memory...Sometimes it's tough hun.
Ever forget you showered and have to go in and touch the towel?
Not proud of that either and I think I am over sharing.
I'll tell myself to STFU!111

Haha sure i would not quote you

NOT

First rule of fight club dont ask not to be quoted

I just admitted drooling on floor and starting IVs on self.  I actually admire you problem solving skills, I can never seem to figure out if im driving or not, calling the 911 and asking them to cheak my black box never seems to work,  even when I take the foil of my head first so they can track me again.

Nu uh! You make it sound like I caught you using the wrong term.  Shit! Now I'm confused.  When I get confused, I get dizzy.  When I get dizzy, I get motion sick.  When I get motion sick I.....

This isn't going where I thought it was.

You know a lot of the stuff we would take isn't even around anymore.
Mostly anti inflammatorys and some Opiate based ones.
Pain was part of the business. You had to stay competitive.

I really think I would have been cut but I was what they called a good locker room chemistry guy.
40 people very different that had to fit together to form a team. You had to take on new players in a hurry and get them to find a place and fit in.
Kind of a brotherhood of love and effort....Lamenting again. Why do you people do this to me?
Over sharing again.

If it works, it's probably not acceptable anymore.

Sorry for the scary skeleton hand reaching into the photo. It's the shadow of me holding the phone.

Yep my daughter turned on the wrong burner and damn near burned the house down. It did a job on the meds.
