Since the trend seems to be starting the official thread a day early: here's mine.

Tuesday

October 16, 2012

Topic: Town meeting format including foreign and domestic policy

Air Time: 9:00-10:30 p.m. Eastern Time

Location: Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York (Tickets)

Sponsor: Commission on Presidential Debates

Participants: President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney

Moderator: Candy Crowley (CNN Chief Political Correspondent)

The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues. Candidates each will have two minutes to respond, and an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate a discussion. The town meeting participants will be undecided voters selected by the Gallup Organization.

Do they both get a copy of the questions ahead of time, or just Obama?

It's an absolute certainty that the questions will be pre-screened and only those passing whatever test is required will be heard. In other words, it will be a fixed/fake Town Hall. Wouldn't want to embarrass the candidates with real questions, now would we?

You don't need a list of the questions beforehand in Hofstra. They will be pretty obvious.

Mr President, are you more important than Jesus or Moses?

Mr. Romney, do you kill puppies or kittens?

Mr. President, was the Benghazi attack caused by Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan?

Mr. Romney, are you a warmonger or a war profiteer?

Mr. President, the Glorious Five Year Plan has produced a record low unemployment figure and unheard of growth in the tractor collective. How many workers will receive free food and housing when you pass the Glorious Ten Year Plan?

Mr. Romney, you've killed grandmothers, abused women, and enslaved minorities in the past. What imperialist policies do you plan to use to oppress the proletariat in the future?

I hope this one is as enjoyable as the last one, but all Romney needs to do is hold his own considering the format (and the moderator, and the people screening the questions) are all in the tank for the Mocha Messiah.

Frankly, I hope Romney tears off the moderator's arm and beats Obama about the head with it...

I believe that the media will say––-no matter what that Obama won the debate. Softball questions all around and a tie = huge Obama win, greater than expectations, etc.

read an interview with ann romney on the the 47%....she said something along the lines of that she is hoping mitt gets asked about the 47% deal, he has a very good answer for it

They should be holding this event in a swing state.
