Every time I see that pic all I can think of is the "Oh, the huge manatee!" photoshop meme. |

Oh and this one; http://img.labnol.org/images/2007/06/green-eye-afghan-girl-national-geographic.jpg Scary eyes. |

Quoted: Serious question, would the BBC photo of the little girl running from the napalm attack in vietnam be a COC violation? That one should be here. Oh and this one; http://img.labnol.org/images/2007/06/green-eye-afghan-girl-national-geographic.jpg I don't think there's any exception for nudity. YMMV. |

Reading fail. I was looking at the pics trying to figure out what the hell was so "ironic" about them.

I've never seen that pic or heard the story behind it. East Germany soldier escaping to West Germany? It's a picture taken during the final days of the construction of the Wall - and this soldier decided to take the plunge and escape while it was still just barbed wire he had to jump over. I remember being in middle school in Germany and our history classroom had a big poster of that image hanging on the wall, and it has stuck with me ever since. Imagine a prison that is so shitty that even the GUARDS want to escape. It is a stark commentary on Communism. |

Well chosen. Rick Monday FTW. This one hit close to home for me, literally. I lived directly across the street from Special Agent Tim McCarthy when he flared and took the bullet for President Reagan out there. He is laying on the sidewalk just out of shot further to the right on the sidewalk. Kind of ironic given what I ended up doing with my life, I guess. |
