Ok, so this is a list of movies that are available for instant streaming from Netflix that all arfcom should have seen.  I'll start it off and everyone keep adding:

1.  HEAT
2.
3.
4.
5.
........

Angry birds" is a fun movie if you have kids.... it also could be described as an autobiography of my life as the red bird. .

The "Medici" series is somewhat entertaining provided you know nothing about the actual life of the period or family.... turn your brain off if you want to enjoy it.

I like the visuals, but they try to impose modern thinking on a very ancient society.

Thanks to everyone that recommend 'Shameless.'  Good mix of comedy and drama. I am binge watching the hell of it and just started S4.

Pro Tip: Don't watch Shameless in a public place with the sound turned up (or without using headphones).

Also not something to watch when kids are around or while on a plane/train. Fair amount of gratuitous nudity, mostly boob, side boob, and ass shots (like Estefania's ), including full male frontal in a couple of episodes.

I LOL at the Thanksgiving episode in Season 2. Nice touch with the Bald Eagle.

Four episodes into the magicians, so far pretty good as well, kind of a harry Potter type theme but more adult TV-MA.

The Magicians gets progressively darker as the season goes on.

I didn't think I'd like Nobel because of the subtitles but it's actually quite good except the desire to visit hot Norwegian women is becoming uncontrollable...

I am only 6 episodes in but I really like how the soldiers seem normal, not like a lot of what Hollywood portrays...

I love how even the suppressed m4's are loud.

Hip Hop Evolution was pretty good if you're into that sort of thing. I thought it was great.

Occupied and Heavy Water War.

They're currently shooting season two of Occupied. Can't wait.

Oh and of course Dead Snow and Red Snow vs Dead Snow.

I rewatched the Charlie Work from It's Always Sunny,  last night.  I told my family that it pretty much sums up a typical work day for me.

"You flushed your shoes,  Frank? Why? " " It's an anxiety thing Charlie.  It gives me a feeling of control" "That's not a thing Frank!"

I hate to say it, but I do not care much for "Fauda"...

I expect the Israeli's to be more professional yet that one fat balding dude is erratic and fucked up everything in the first episode.... it was bad too..

plus what is with everyone having to chamber a round after they draw?

You are surrounded by people who will kill you if caught, yet you don't carry with a round in chamber?

Yes, I'm aware actual Israeli's do that but still...

I think it's already been mentioned, but I'm a few episodes into the Traveler's, and it's a nice sci fi show. Netflix original series are pretty damn good.

Which ones? They change content all the time, so depending where in the thread you're seeing a movie, it's possibly no longer up.

Agreed, but I wish they'd dub the sound.  I don't like having to read subtitles.  Same thing with Narcos, or whatever the drug dramas in Spanish were.

Dubbed vs subtitled all comes down to personal preference really, normally I can't stand dubbed movies/TV myself but it would be nice if both options were available for everything. I know there are some good reasons why they're not (not every B movie made in Europe has the budget to justify dubbing it, even if it becomes a cult hit, for example) but it'd be nice to have the option. Especially since getting my GF to watch a movie/show that she has to "read along to" can be a pain sometimes; she's particularly loathe to watch anything in Norwegian (for no logical reason we can find) which is vexing since there are several really good things on Netflix from Norway.

And it's still worth finishing.

"True memoirs of a international assassin" with Kevin James, however, was a painful POS.

Even though I suggested it I only got 3 episodes into Fauda. The rack/draw doesn't bug me that much, it's the way they roll there. Although I seriously doubt the Sayeret Maktal does that. I think it would have been better with both the Arabic and Hebrew in subtitles. The dubbing of the Hebrew to English doesn't work well.

The Palestinian doctor lady was pretty hot. But There was too much derp for me. I switched to watching Travelers. Pretty good series.

The military stuff was done quite well, even with the anti American digs.  Characters were believable, actors did a good job.  Cinematography was amazing even on the low budget.

I really liked the pilot for 'The Magicians.'  An interesting premise that had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there.

It's riddled with bad/lazy/boring writing and plot holes. The main character carries himself like a 14 year old girl that was recently raped and has PTSD and the Indian guy that's supposed to be the cliche broody bad boy is one of the most irritating TV characters I've seen in a while.  Come to think of it, there really wasn't a non-minor character on the show that was likeable.  They all pretty much sucked.

Though the blonde nerdy girl is hot so at least there's that.

You mean if when she got nekkid they would actually show it. Not a single boob shown, despite a few sex scenes.

Unfortunately there is no nudity at all.  Pretty much the only reason it has an TV-MA rating is because of the occasional F bomb.

Heavy Water War -- Norwegian series about the effort to destroy the heavy water plant that was integral to the Nazi effort to develop an atom bomb

The Fall -- Gillian Anderson plays a British police detective leading an investigation to catch a serial killer in Belfast

The O.A. -- I am only about 5 episodes into it, pretty weird, but I like it.

already mentioned:  Always Sunny in Philadelphia.  the gang are by far the stupidest, worst human beings ever at the center of a hilarious comedy.

also, Netflix now has ALL of the original Columbo episodes.  You're welcome.

Old black and white film called "compulsion" about two asshole socialists who murder a kid to prove they are superior to everyone else... it didn't work out the way they thought.

"Dog eat dog" with Willem Dafoe was awful, I couldn't make it ten minutes in.

You've not watched Shameless yet.

I love depraved humor. Always Sunny, Trailer Park Boys, etc. Shameless takes the cake when it comes to absolute degenerate behavior. Then again Always Sunny is a pure comedy. There's some pretty serious tear-jerking moments in Shameless.

I watched "Jaco" over the weekend, a documentary on legendary bass player Jaco Pastorius. Very well put together with lots of fun clips from his contemporaries. In the end it is a truly tragic story.
