Figured ya'll would like it.

This was last weekend. That's me. (good size reference)

Dimensions are:

12x12 platform

front side is probably 12 feet of the ground, backside is probably 8 or 9. The ground slopes pretty heavily.

Each corner is a 16' 6x6, buried 3' in the ground and each pole got 3x60lbs of quick crete.

The center supports are 12' 2x6s, on each side of a row of 4 4x4s sitting on blocks.

Cross beams are 24" spaces 2x6s. West and east are double banded with an extra 2x6, not seen here.

Actual floor space is 9'x12', because of the 3'x12' front porch.

There will be a loft above the porch door, which is 3'x~12'(subtract studs) and probably 32" high. Just for her bed.

Almost time for the metal roof.

View from her front porch.

Windows framed in, and roof on.

*I'm not a builder by trade, which is evident. Still, though it's rock solid, and mostly level in some places.

When you say, "Treehouse", do you really mean, "Tree stand"?

Looks great.  Didn't know they let regular folk own power saws in Alabama...

Learn something new every day I guess.

Nice, sure would be neat if it was overlooking some soy beans or sweet corn.

Well shit I guess we think alike.

2. One or more severed digits and/or punctures.

3. Burns.

how is that legal without a permit?

All structures need a permit down here, [on your property] and needs to meet code. or the city will demolish it.

That was exactly my first thought when I saw the pictures. Of course dad is going to trim the trees overlooking the pasture right?

Correct me if Im wrong, but did you build that around a tree branch? Pic 4 land 5 looks like it... If you did, consider not doing it.. I built a nice stand back in 2008, and well branches grow and your lumber wont, things get all whacky when one side wants to move and the others dont.. Other then that looks awesome.. Also do your self a huge favor, start managing the squirrels now...They will destroy that place... Ive had them chew threw my walls/floors anything thats not metal to get in...

I'll get a pic of where the crows nest will be. It's above the porch. That's a side project after the house is done.

Good, however traps work in the dark.. Not trying to be a debbie downer here, trust me ( I had thousands invested in my stand and now it looks like swiss cheese) but consider some traps. Id hate to see all your hard work end up like mine..
