I know, number one rule of fight club...
That non-paying members posts are only allowed to get a certain number of comments or responses before they are cut off? Just seem like lots of good comments or topics are overlooked when posted by non-members. That being said, I'll become a member when I can spare the cash, 'cause on the whole, this is a good group of people, but right now budgets are tight. I'll keep contributing to photoshop threads and give advice where I can in the meantime, whether my posts are read or overlooked. |

People tend to remember team members by their avatars. Some of them have a lot of credibility. Others are recongized instantly as trolls and general assclowns, so it works both ways.

The rule we are not supposed to talk about is that nesnip, edited, (timeout issued)

This would have been moar funny if no one would have responded.

I've seen several members get team memberships donated by posting something that damn good, actually.
This thread does not qualify, however. |

You can reply as much as you want, but people are less likely to respond to you. As someone else said, people remember each other by their avatars, so without one you are less recognizable and less memorable.

I don't think there has ever been a non-member who's achieved Legend status. You just don't get the recognition without a picture to imprint into minds.

No... because ALL my post/threads are cut off and lack comments or responses.
And I've been paying to play for awhile. |

no
that being said, what you say, how humorous it is, and how well it is agreed with has a lot to do with how many responses you get. |
|
Wierd that you only have 2 reponses by now. As a non-paying member I would have expected to see more...
OK, kidding aside, the answer to your question is no. There is no rule or behavior based on that (for most people), and no one officially closes threads started by non-team faster than by team. I've been both Team and non-team. Heck, I've been around longer than there even WAS team - the main reason I'm not now, just the mental hurdle of paying for something I didn't used to have to. Team's cool with the interface enhancements, a few extra sub-forums. But aside from a few folks who fixate on the topic, your treatment and thread attention is the same. You tend to get a suspect eye when your post count and join date indicate new, and possible troll. But otherwise, Team vs non-team don't have any difference in credibility when posting. |

Posting in here to tell you I don't even remember your screen name As I type this.
The only thing I contribute to this site is bad jokes and racy photoshop pictures. Oh, and that one thing. |

Stand by for good advice OP,
Try the tech forums. Many well known (non-team) members there. AR Variants is just one example. But remember to leave the BS in GD, when you go into a tech forum as it's not tolerated there. Good advice over, contuine hazing OP. |

So how does this work? You're avatar is just what I assume is the generic avatar given to members. Is there a reason behind not using something unique for yourself? |
