I recently got an arfcom account to celebrate the purchase of my first black rifle. I had never done anything in terms of tactical shooting, but I was an eager learner, growing up shooting guns I decided to get into the "run-n-gun" type of shooting, took classes, logged many hours at the range, put about a thousand rounds through a dpms. Recently bought a high dollar one (in a previous post).  I felt like this site was everything I wanted, people that shared my interests, ones who shared the love for the black rifle, and people I could go to if I ever needed advice, but boy was I wrong.  

Reading a lot of the threads, forums, and even interacting with a lot of the members here has led me to believe if you have a join date anywhere after November 2012, you are a snake that walks like a human, you are "scum", and "retarded noobs".

Posters and members on here with an old join date and a high post count are about as stuck up as a high school quarterback, and with more money than sense. "Yeah just picked up another Larue obr, and I have more dilly dust than I could ever want" whoopdidoo, good for you.

I tried to be a productive member on here, can't do it, there's more drama on arfcom than on a 14 year old girl's twitter page. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say this either, there are many "noobs" as you call us that are new to the tactical shooting world and are looking for guidance and support in our new hobby, but instead we get met with a hail of insults and bitched at because of our 13er status.

Knowing the kind of people on here now has made me a little bit disappointed in the American shooting community, I'm disappointed every time I look at my ar because a it's just a sick reminder of the childish behavior and stuck up attitude of a lot of the people associated with it.

This is only a website, when I'm shooting messing with my firearms I never associate them with a website, not this one, not m4carbine.net or anything else, period . Like any other forum on the internet you have to put your big girl panties on before you login.  I don't know if you know this but the world is mostly made up of ass holes.  Some people are ok but most are not.  This place is no different.  It's not that you're scum for having a new member join date it's just amazing how much stupid comes out of new members mouths.

Maybe it's because you're a new AR15 owner/future ranger that thinks he knows whats best, read and learn before you type, and just because you've watched a Magpul Dvd doesn't make you an expert in tactics and techniques.

Sold the shotgun and the helmet, along with the plates to the best, which now hangs in my closet, sold all the wwii stuff, the backpacks gone, the camo pants I did gone, everything from every one of my youtube videos is gone. There was once a day when I didn't know anything about AR-15 rifles.  I surely didn't sign up to ar15.com, and tell people that things they do look stupid.  I read,  read more,  did more reading,  went and held one,  did more reading,  asked a few questions,  did more reading,  bought one,  did more reading...  I wanted to know as much as possible before I made myself look like an ass.  

Long story short,  even this guy with bright pink hair can probably tell you more about an AR-15 than you'll have time to hear about,  and I'm a pretty decent shot....  All while looking stupid and gay with chick coloured hair.

OP, I am of the opinion that your join date and post count don't mean shit, what matters is the content and quality of information that comes out of your piehole.  Unfortunately you should shut your piehole and read more before posting.

Judging by some of the comments anybody who is a mature adult can see he is correct in his assessment of the mentality of some of the people here. The ones who post this type of nonsense are the same types they try to make fun of, look in the mirror. Most of you have NOT served and are not law enforcement but wannabees. Being a wannabee is not a bad thing really unless you take it too a level of being a total tool which some here do. Many post nonsense and are totally incorrect about so many things. They pretend to be experts and they are not. Even the experts are wrong some times, everybody has biases.

This place is for information not acting out like a high school court yard. But that is what it is and it is well known as being that throughout the internet.

You degrade the quality of this place, make gun people look bad and overall make the people of this country look bad. But you don't care as long as you get a good chuckle by antagonizing other people. It's called a grownup, an adult, a mature person, that's what younger people should strive to be not continue their juvenile ways. To make matters worse y'all hide behind your computer screen acting like tough guys. It's a real problem with the American public, spoiled little brats who's parents did not do a very good job of teaching them respect and the simple "treat others as you would want to be treated." That suck it up new guy and hazing mentality has proven to be made up of people with deep seated emotional issues.

So keep on chasing people away and very soon like so many other websites of all kinds there will be about 10 people patting each other on the back and telling them how cool they are, in this case I guess it would be tacticool. I have seen it happen on so many other websites over the years and it always ends the same way. The same type of immature people allowed to destroy a formally great place for people who have the same interests. A few rotten apples spoiling the bunch.

Some of y'all really have to grow up and the mods here have to start thinking in terms of the future of this place. If they let this BS continue they will not have a future.

If you don't have something good to say, don't say it. Respect others and you will get respect back. Why has this become a lost old world way for adults to act and think? Once you turn 21 you have adult rights, when are the people in the USA going to start appreciating their rights and STOP acting like fools.
