Ga. officers tase man, break his leg, arrest him after he drives away with officer’s pen
MERIWETHER COUNTY, Ga. — A Greenville man said he was tased and his leg was broken when he didn’t return a pen to a police officer in Meriwether County. The body camera video shows the officer hand a pen to Bray, who signed the ticket and then drove away with the officer’s pen. That’s when things escalated. In the video, you can hear the officer demand Bray return his pen. Instead, Bray held the pen out of the window as he pulled away. “That mother (expletive). He stole my (expletive) pen!” the officer shouts. |

I guess taking a pen equals permanent bodily injury and possible death. People wonder why there is a divide between LE and the public. Some fine protecting and serving. Murderers and rapists in the loose and this is how they spend their time.

He disrespected the cop. Bad things were bound to follow.
Gotta respect his authorituh… |

Actions have consequences. Don’t be a snarky punk then cry about it. |

I have a cheapo department issued pen clipped to my ticket book. Nobody uses my good pen.

“I think it was about trying to show authority. I think that’s what it was about,” Bray said.
What this particular story leaves out is the LEO followed the man home and did this in his driveway. “Give me my pen, then you’re going to jail,” the officer tells Bray. “I don’t have your pen,” Bray shouts back. “Give it to me, or I’m going to Tase you,” the officer says on camera. |
|
Greenville Police Chief Wayne Frazier said he reviewed the body cam video and saw nothing wrong with how his officer handled the situation. “If he had complied, none of this would have happened,” Frazier said. “Our SOP says verbal, hands-on, less lethal, and lethal, and he followed protocol,” Frazier said. View Quote "we have investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing." Wayne Frazier sounds like a dick. |

Surprised so many support thugs here. |

I am sure LE would be completely understanding if we broke someone’s leg and tased them for taking our pen. Then held them under citizens’ arrest until LE arrived.

She didn't get tazed, a broken bone, and taken to jail. I wonder what the difference is here. |

It wasn’t about the pen. It was the disrespect.
Officer roid rage needs a pack of bic clicktops, a big bottle of xanax, and 5-10 in the pen for grievous bodily injury, and/or attempted murder. |

It’s become an industry now to fuck with police in the hopes you can entice one of them to snap. Hopefully you sustain just enough ‘damages’ to enjoy your Red Billy Lotto payday.
It’s a game of balancing the fine line. Don’t take it too far where you end up dead or permanently injured. Also need to provoke just enough to receive the desired result to paint you firmly in the victim category and not seen as the agitator. DUI arrests can be painfully annoying with this. |
