Sovereign citizens and the other off-shoots are 100% about not paying taxes. Because they typically are democrats in democrat cities they get away with it.
They pay no income tax, real estate taxes, or car registration fees. |

For sovereign citizens broken windows theory refers to their car.

However, being a SC often involves violence, with some cop killing involved from time to time. Just depends how far you wanna take it. I’m sure several here are down. |

Thats where you want to prod for debate. Lol. I have professionally audited public spending allocations. You might have that foot stomping discussion with someone else. If you can’t figure out that our tax structure is based upon theft, you pay taxes without following up on their use by looking at tax money allocation. People also don’t even know their total tax liability after paying sales tax on everything under the sun……. Using the income that has already been taxed to buy the goods/services. |

I'm guessing a lot of them like welfare and other gov't benefits as well. |

Which is no different than institutional inner city social service programming designed to cycle generations of children into poverty dependance. |

I knew of one who was a "true believer" but most of the rest just pinning some hope on some way to make up for bad luck or poor choices in money management to keep a little bit to themselves so the government wouldn't collapse their world. Many were just plain cons in my estimation. They just didn't want to play the game so they didn't, at least until there was no choice. I would also say most were on the lower end of the I.Q. scale. |

Moors is a term generally used by Europeans to describe the Muslim people of North Africa and the Iberian Peninsula during the Middle Ages.

He was a Moorish sovereign citizen.
The Moorish sovereign citizen movement, sometimes called the indigenous sovereign citizen movement, is a small sub-group of sovereign citizens that mainly holds to the teachings of the Moorish Science Temple of America, in that that African Americans are descendants of the Moabites and thus are "Moorish" by nationality, and Islamic by faith.[1] View Quote https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moorish_sovereign_citizens |

Here are two YT channels that have a lot of videos showing Sovereign Citizens in action. They're good for laughs. Basically there are two kinds of SC videos - SCs getting owned by police during traffic stops, and SCs getting owned by judges in court.
https://www.youtube.com/@VanBalion https://www.youtube.com/@LawTalkWithMike ETA here are a couple more, less focused on SCs but lots of funny courtroom scenes with pro se dumbassery. https://www.youtube.com/@TeamSkeptic https://www.youtube.com/@CreedenceandMikey |

Not that I really side with sovereign citizens but everyone should be rioting over how badly we're taxed, it's thievery.

View Quote The problem could be solved by people putting more thought into voting, but that's not likely to happen because most people are easily fooled by false promises such as only "the rich" will be taxed. |

We are over taxed. The United Kingdom makes us look like pikers, however.

For clarification, this was a Moorish Sovereign Citizen, not Posse Comitatus or Montana Freemen, and most definitely not someone like Cliven Bundy from the ranch standoff.

View Quote There was a sovereign citizen in Utah shot when he was pulled over by a small town police dept for no plates nonsense. He eventually pulled a gun and was shot. His mother got him into the SC nonsense. A video eventually surfaced of the same PD pulling her over for the same BS. But they let the mom go. I'm sure, like most parents who get their kids killed in criminal conduct she blames the police. I've known some SC. With some it seems like almost like insanity with a complicated nonsensical belief system. |

My wife's cousin apparently is one now.......I thought about dressing as a British naval officer from the Colonial period and going to speak to him about Admiralty Courts on Halloween |

My cousin and his dad were "sovereign citizens" when I was growing up.
One time in North Carolina, my and my cousin were out driving in his truck. He was 14, I was 15. We both had a lot of guns and ammo in the truck as we were just out shooting up in the hills. We got pulled over and my 14 year old cousin was asked about a drivers license. He had a whole spiel he stated about how as a sovereign citizen, he didn't need a license, etc... The cops looked throught the truck, saw all the guns and ammo and called it in. 5 minutes later we were sent on our way with a warning for speeding. Worked for him I guess. |

I wish Sheriff Grady Judd was in charge of all law enforcement.

Loons and grifters who can turn violent at the drop of a hat. My favorite is the one who was shoplifting lunch meat. (stuffed his shirt full) then when approached used his daughter as a human shield.
I always wondered why he had 20 odd packs of baloney and ham in his shirt and didn't steal any bread. |

Good shoot. Hope the deputies recover. Fuck the sovereign citizen dipshit, the world is a better place without him.

I wonder what percentage of people in GD who post “taxation is theft” collect some form of disability or social security or other entitlement?
