He probably just doesn't trust those credit cards... Italian financial police said they stopped the rapper at the Lamezia Terme airport in Calabria on Saturday with $422,000 in cash, well above the limit that can legally be transported across EU borders undeclared. The incident comes less than a week after Snoop Dogg was briefly stopped in Sweden on suspicion of drug use after a concert near Stockholm. Financial police confirmed a report by the Italian news agency ANSA that half of the cash was impounded under Italian anti-money laundering codes. In such cases, the balance is returned minus any fine set by magistrates. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/E/EU_ITALY_SNOOP_DOGG?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2015-08-01-08-18-05 |

I hate pre crime laws more than Snoop. View Quote As do I but let's call it what it is, they are really just a means to steal money from people using the excuse of possibly preventing crime, they are not in the least worried about any crime except the one they perpetrate on the person possessing the non criminal instrument, money. |

Ridiculous since he can easily prove he earned that much and more.z

So much this. The 'crime' is having money that's not terribly easy for the government to track. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

The holding of cash outside of the banks is a threat, in and of itself, to the stability of the fraudulent fractional reserve systems worldwide. Government agents just do the work for the bankers. |

Here's the deal, I don't think you should have to prove your innocence to the state. Of course this is Italy so their rules. But the US pulls this kind of shit to. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Now they use the money they steal from you along with a "blank check" from the treasury to fight you in court should you decide you want your money back. |

Meanwhile, back in the US we can't take 10 grand out of the bank without it being reported to the Ministry of Stealing Our Money

At least he employs people.
Is his fault his comptroller couldn't make the trip... And he had to pay by cash, and not payroll check ? |

He always looks like he would break if you barely hit him. He is like gross tall and skinny.

WTF, leave the dude alone.
He obviously knows the risk of having all that money on his persons, why do they need to get involved? |

No his crime was not declaring it upon entering the country. Laws that that have been in place since about forever.
Unlike some of the cases I see on this site were the person is going about their business never leaving the USA and gets their cash taken. |

Will the Financial Police seize my Zimbabwen $500 billion dollar bill too?

Ridiculous since he can easily prove he earned that much and more.z View Quote That's fucking bullshit. Somebody that can't easily prove they have a 'right' to the money they carry shouldn't be allowed to keep it until they prove that they legitimately acquired it? Legitimacy determined by the same government that confiscates it in the first place? Fuck that noise. |

So, all he had to do was declare it and he wouldn't have had a problem?
