When prices drop back to more reasonable levels, I'll start buying more stuff. I refuse to pay full MSRP for any gun, especially when MSRP is something stupid high. Gun prices are as low as they're going to go. Then that stuff is going to be collecting dust. Seriously. |

Funny it's almost cheaper or it is cheaper to buy new rather than used. View Quote Thats because in the case of some guns like Glocks and S&W revolvers, used is better made than new. I'll pay more for a no LCI, No MIM Glock than than a new Glock. I'll pay more for a no lock, no MIM J-Frame than a new J-frame. Plus no sales tax on used guns in my state. |

After buing two old mausers last night, no new purchases until I get another safe... Come on black Friday safe sales!

May have to pick up a WASR if they ever get back to $299 range

Object lesson in supply and demand. There's so much over priced ammo on the shelves right now I can hear them creaking. Prices collapsed on guns, I'm just waiting for it to come down on ammo.
And fuck all those guys at the gun shows with tables of .22lr trying to get .20/rd. I can see them starting to sweat it. |

Doing my best to deplete their inventory.
I've bought a shitload of stuff in the last two months. |

There's going to be a fire sale some day when they kick the bucket and their family is trying to unload it all! Still ZERO .22 on the shelves in my area. The retail guys tell me that people are still lining up for it as soon as the trucks get in. I still don't want it that bad. |

Quoted: Pretty sure somebody called this exact scenario back right after sandy hook. And the next step is that all those little manufacturers are going to go tits up because product isn't moving and the big boys are dropping their prices just to move their product out. Sub 1k Colts are not good news for the little guys. View Quote The market's been in need of a correction for a while anyway. |

Yeah, with bargain prices on Colt ARs I don't see the little AR companies hanging on indefinitely.

"If you can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em..."
Can't afford ammo for what I currently have...

Until shop owners start paying attention to the law, the law of supply and demand, and reduce their prices accordingly, they will continue to have a glut of firearms in stock.
Or, they're just waiting for Hildabeast to make it official and their current stock will be gone within a couple days. |

I am tired of hearing about an ammo shortage when every LGS and online retailers have pallets of 223/5.56 in stock. Spreading fear and panic to justify your high prices doesn't make me want to buy high priced ammo. Do they honestly believe that we only visit one website or LGS to make purchases? Maybe they think you won't notice that the shelves have been full for the last 12 months.

I am waiting for the day when everyone uses PSA as their sales model. Colt AR15's for $450... |

You know things are getting desperate for retailers when Cheaper Than Dirt is having a few bargains!

Ammo still sucks.
It's going to take me a long time to get over memories of sub $200 cases of XM193, shipped, all day long. I'll adjust to the new reality eventually. |
|
Wait till after the election, I'm sure that one of the poliDical parDys will intruDuce some legislation which will help set off another panic-inDuceD buying run.
|
|
I plan to buy another Glock (17 this time), and another AR15 within the next 6 months.
|
|
As others have said - if the economy was doing better to give me more disposable income, I'd be buying.
|
|
Would anyone have thought during, or before sandy hook that in the future someone would have a sub-$600 AR10/308? I bet not.
Prices can still come down quite a bit. The amount of money generated & invested in the industry was obscene during late 2012-2013 and there's still a ways to go. |

Maybe prices will go back down to normal. Yup. Until then, fuck off gun stores. Prices around here are STILL stupid. Exactly, it's the prices stooooopid. And what do I see the shelves packed with at my local store: 1) plastic AR's, 2) cheapo bolt rifles with crap scopes, and 3) foreign made 12 ga shot guns. Crap, crap, and more crap. Good luck selling any of that garbage that was ordered to rip off first time buyers. |

If you live in a Free State.
It's a GREAT time to be buying ARs and AKs!!! |

Inventory is definitely high, but prices are also too high. Real estate is in the same condition.
Shit will not sell if the price is too high. Even backpage and gun boards prices are still too high. People think their shit is made out of fucking gold. |

all my pre-lock pre-mim revolvers keep on increasing value.
wouldn't mind $1500 or lower NATO stock AUG. |

I've spent my share this year.
Looking forward to Black Friday |
