Any other fans of Zburbia?
I'm currently midway through book #5 of this series of 6 (so far), and am loving it.  The protagonist is a smart-assed Everyman who has to deal with a nonstop string of crises that threaten his family's survival in the zombie apocalypse, including his subdivision's homeowners' association.  Yeah, even in the Zpoc, there's still a busybody telling people how to keep their yards groomed.
If you're looking for a story centered around a former Special Ops Ninja Sniper, these are not the books for you.  If you want some of the wittiest dialogue available in the zombie genre, you're in luck.
