Hope this fits under this forum/group.  What turntables are you folks using to play the vinyl stuff?

I don't really want to spend gazillions of dollars but it might be nice to have something to playback through the PC or an amp and speakers.

Get the cheaper one . At $199 I dont think you are going to do better.

Avoid a built-in pre-amp if you are going to be just playing through a receiver. On most units, they add hum to the feed and you don't need it unless you are going to go USB to computer for recording your vinyls.
