And just took it again today.  How times have changed, all about memorizing which windows app does what as opposed to learning IRQ/memory locations.

Its better ish now then it was. I took it as a final exam for my intro into pc maint class years ago. I didn't study for it one bit. Same with my security+. Saw a A+ and Sec+ required on a network engineer job posting a few weeks ago here. $80-100K a year job.

If any job posting has those listed that isn't an entry level job I wouldn't even both applying because the people there are most likely fucking morons.

I took it back in '97.  There were 3 tests, only 2 were needed for certification.  I took the core (general hardware, with some Mac stuff and DOS commands thrown in) and DOS and Windows environments.  The third was more Mac related, iirc.  System 7 was mainly covered.
